Remember how last year and the first few games this year Miles was free and confident…now he plays tight. I think Oats being so strict on him has gotten to him

Tbh I wouldn’t be surprised to see Gary in the portal. His minutes have been cut drastically

Again, the fact that we continually pressed the ball handler at the timeline and got beat off the dribble - allowing them to get into their favorite offensive stuff - is fvckin mind blowing.
That's just a coaching failure. At some point you sag and make them beat you without the advantage of every possession being them playing against frantic help defense. A zone, a sagging man, something.
We just kept doing the same stupid shite over and over and over.

Yeah I'm starting to come to terms with this unfortunate reality. His minutes have totally evaporated. He barely plays anymore.

If they made us guard for 20-25 seconds, they basically ended up with a dunk or layup. It was sad.

Overall nothing is changing...
But the line up, mins played by certain players etc..changes from game to game.
I'd go Keon, JQ at the point, JD, Shaq, Bedioko to start the game...EVERY GAME!
Yes, that's a small lineup.. but its also our best offensive group and when we have offensive success, we play better Defense.
We haven't had the same lineup much this year.. these guys need more continuity/chemistry.
When the 3 isn't dropping, let's post up Gurley and Bed..

He doesn't really fit. If started back doing the things like he did last year I would be a lot happier though.

I disagree. JQ, JD, and Shack can’t all play together. It’s a disaster defensively. Their offense doesn’t overcome it

I said it a week or so ago but I truly don't think he knows what to do with this collection of players. He can't figure them out.
Part of that is the roster, but it's a problem at this point in the season when there is no clear rotation. And we're not even close to having one.

This is why I put a lot of our issues on the coaches even if the roster construction isn't ideal. Like, you know what the deficiencies are so why are you treating JD like he's Gary Payton?

But against the Zags and Houston, those 3 played extensive mins together..
JD is a tremendous rebounder to be smaller.
But at the end of the day..this team goes as far as Quin takes them. When he plays well, we are dynamite.
Shaq gets his 17 to 20 and never says a word to anyone..but this team feeds off Quin. When he's going they all play better.
Playing JD at the point is well...pointless. He's a turnover machine.

JD turned the ball over 3 times tonight. JQ & Shack gets cooked a lot as well on defense and it happened tonight.
