You still saved yourself from some mind-numbing rage in the 2nd half. Our 23-pt halftime lead was cut to 6 in just 8 minutes. Even when we trounce teams, our guys can never seem to make it easy for the fans

Glad to get a solid win tonight. 30 minutes of high level basketball and 10 minutes of trash, but thankfully we were really good in those 30 minutes

I’m sure it probably got stated in this thread at some point, but current day Shelton looked like he ate college Shelton. He was the only guy from the championship team that was hard to recognize.

Miles only played a few minutes tonight. He's been playing well on this most recent run.
Bediako played a lot more minutes than he usual does. He had a couple moving screen calls but other than that I thought he had a good night.

I sat behind the bench tonight and it looked like Charlie Henry was laying into him about something in the 1H, then he didn’t play much after that.
Also learned that construction of the new bball arena should start sooner than later.

It wouldn't be Alabama basketball if they didn't constantly do stuff that pisses us off. That's what made that month long heater we went on to start conference play last year so special and unlikely to be seen again this decade.

Vandy some how moved up into Q1.
We now have 8 Q1 wins. Tied with Kentucky for most in SEC

How do y’all hope the SEC race plays out?
IMO the best scenario for us to repeat is..
1. Arkansas
2. Auburn
3. Kentucky
4. Tennessee

Vandy moving up despite losing 2 games, LSU continuing to hold steady in the mid-teens for no apparent reason, and Arkansas unable to move up despite arguably being the best team in the conference over the last month. NET is fricking stupid.

Look at how bad our defense is in road games. Truly why we aren’t a 1 or 2 seed. Because we are elite offensively on the road

Home Numbers. Poorly shoot at Home but play decent. With our offense 45 is acceptable

Neutral site Numbers. Defense could be a little better. FT numbers are bad but we have been really good at the line recently.

Sometimes I just imagine if JQ didn't have the mental block and built upon what he did last year...
We would legitimately probably would have only lost to Memphis, Missouri, Auburn (away) and Kentucky.
We would could be 24-5 or even 25-3 as the best team in the country.
Just crazy thinking about how we are so close to be great yet so far.... and it's basically on a handful of players showing up.

No. 24/25 Alabama Notches 90-71 Win Over South Carolina on Senior Night
Five Crimson Tide players scored in double figures, led by Jaden Shackelford’s 21-point effort
The No. 24/25 Alabama men's basketball team posted a strong first half in a 90-71 win over South Carolina Saturday night in Coleman Coliseum. With the win, the Crimson Tide takes sole possession of fifth place in the SEC standings with two regular season games remaining.
Alabama (19-10, 9-7 SEC) has now won seven consecutive games over the Gamecocks, including nine of the last 10 contests played in the series.
Guard Jaden Shackelford led all scorers with 21 points on the night, while four other Crimson Tide members posted double-digit scoring efforts. Guard Jahvon Quinerly added 20 points with an efficient 7-of-9 from the floor and 4-of-5 from deep. Senior Keon Ellis posted 17 points, seven boards and four assists while the freshmen duo of Charles Bediako (11) and JD Davison (10) both reached double-digit scoring totals.
Following the contest, the Crimson Tide honored three graduating student-athletes: Keon Ellis, Jahvon Quinerly and James Rojas
South Carolina (17-11, 8-8 SEC) was led by Erik Stevenson's 17 points, six assists and five rebounds.

"Great win for senior night. I'm really happy for the five guys that we started. Looking at the three guys we honored after the game - Quinerly, Ellis and Rojas - and what they've accomplished in the two years they have played here. That's arguably the best two-year span we've had here in close to 30 years. They've taken this program to new heights from where it was when they got here. I couldn't be happier for them and just thankful for their help getting it here. Rojas has battled some injuries, but he just brings a toughness to the team that they miss when he's not there. Quinerly has been dynamic in our offense. Between Kira, Quinerly and JD, obviously we've had some really good point guards around the offense we want to run. Keon has just been consistent on both sides of the ball for both years he has been here. I'm happy we got to win, obviously. The start of the second half wasn't what we wanted. We've got to mature a little bit and play just as hard with a 23-point lead as we do when we are up by six. That's the area we have got to grow, but I do think we showed some maturity and came out, got some stops, got some buckets and opened it back up which showed a lot about our team."
