Same. I was thinking we'd win like 76-65 or so. I got their score right, but our offense looked waaaaay more in sync than it did out of the gate the last two years.

10 players scored; five in double figures. Off night for Gurley. That’s the only negative I saw.

Early signs are this team has A LOT of options so you can have a couple guys off and not miss a beat.

It’s going to be a fun ride this year. I can’t remember the last time I was this excited about a team this early in the season. I’m excited every year, but this team looks different. There’s no creeping doubt, no tiptoeing around weaknesses, no sneaking suspicion that it’s all going to come crumbling down. Oats is the truth and this is team is really good with amazing depth.

After the shite we’ve had for the past decade +, we deserve this

@AlabamaMBB Keon Ellis:

“This game, we made sure the ball moved, got quality shots. We preach about that in practice. I just try to bring the same energy we had last year that Herb, Petty, Bruner gave to us, we want to bring that into this year.”

It definitely seems like we finally hit on a good coach who can win at a school like Alabama.

We are probably gonna play the #1 team in football and Basketball the same day...and shockingly I’m more confident in the basketball team that day

Few takeaways:

1. Keon Ellis is a lottery pick if he can consistently be aggressive on offense.

2. Gary is the ultimate garbage man. Cleans up everything. Offensively and defensively.

3. Davison is such a complete player. Easy top 10 pick if he plays like he did tonight. Rare to have that combination of skill and athleticism.

4. Our depth is incredible. Only guy out there that looked a little out of sorts was Gurley, and Oats had him starting over Gary so clearly it's just some first game jitters.

That's the thing...we got a good coach. Give him the resources and facilities and let him do his thing. RTR

Darius Miles is really interesting. Good size, nice 3 ball, and can dunk on folks. He’ll be money off the bench all year

Quinerly-JD-Keon-Shack. Play 3 of those 4 guys at all times, and we’ve got the best backcourt in the country

I was expecting him to be more like Sexton or Kira, but he's not that kind of player at all. Like I said before, he's a throwback PG. His first instinct is to find an open teammate.

Don't know why, but I kind of wish we didn't rammer jammer in basketball games, need to do something different.

And I'm officially more excited about bama basketball than football for probably the first time in my entire life and I'm a man, I'm 40

We’re gonna run Gonzaga out of the gym. They don’t have the athleticism to hang with us this year

It's why I scoffed at people thinking he was selfish on all his highlight videos. He's an excellent passer, but he's also all about winning. On his HS team the best chance at winning comes from him scoring the ball and taking a lot of shots. He always reverted back to a complete PG when playing with higher level talent.

Can you believe Josh Primo & Nimari Burnett were almost a part of this years squad too? That would have been unbeatable.
