Them being on a 4 game losing streak is what has me worried. I wish they would have beat Murray State. Now they are Desperate, their whole season depends on this game and the Tennessee game. They are too talented to keep playing this shitty so I think they will put it together and beat either us or Tenner. Hopefully it’s the Vols.

As much as anything, it just seems like a classic trap game

Huge trap game. Big emotional win Saturday at home. Road game Tuesday. Short number at 3.5. Memphis probably a sharp play tonight. It’s a tough spot.

Totally agree. I already listed most of the criteria I could think of for a traditional “trap game”, but this one is basically the definition of it. I don’t think most of the followers here expect a loss, but acting like it’s not even a possibility is unrealistic. We’ve been really high lately and Memphis is in the dumps. They have plenty of talent and could pull it together at some point. All anyone is really saying is that it’s possible for that point to be tonight, at home, against a top 10 team.

They also have Tennessee on Saturday and I’m sure they would like to end their OOC on a better note with a couple high profile wins. Win those two and it completely changes their trajectory this season.

On a side note, I don’t follow Memphis at all, but are they getting restless with Penny? I know it’s only been a couple years and he’s bringing in phenomenal talent, but do they grow restless if he drops the next two games? It would be an awful OOC performance for a team with their talent. They had a huge letdown last season. Can Penny last much longer if he keeps losing at this rate?

You really typed that out, giggled to yourself and sent it to a group chat of complete strangers hoping for the vindication that you’re a funny guy.

Bro listen, I hope your right concerning our team tonight heck I even like your enthusiasm but we must come into this game with great energy throughout the game because we will get their best shot. They might come out hitting three's and get every bounce to go their way because games like that happen bro! I hope we come with great energy from start to finish though because we are going to get the BEST MEMPHIS team tonight.

All bickering aside, the fact that we’re arguing about whether or not we should blow out Memphis even though it’s a “trap game” at this point in the season is pretty fricking awesome.

I know you’re not talking you’re the dumbest one on here. Everything I’ve said has aged like fine wine. You on the other hand…

So young, so bold, so inexperienced. It’s like when a teen first finds “love” and has never gotten dumped. Then when it happens, talks about how they expected it the whole time. I don’t remember him saying we would lose to Iona or even could lose to Iona.

Hope we win tonight, but it will be a Herculean effort. The radio crew said they were having a hard time recovering sleep wise and that hoping the team was able to get enough rest.

Memphis defense is very athletic and flies around. They score most of their points off of turnovers and scoring in the open court. Their halfcourt sets are very iso heavy and there’s no off ball movement at all. Just standing around and watching. If we don’t come ready to play they can give us a game, but if we aren’t turning the ball over we should bury them
I literally said this two days ago, y’all really trying this little jit narrative like y’all don’t post bullshite and circlejerk all day

(6)Alabama-Memphis tips at 9 ET on ESPN.

Led by Jaden Shackleford's 19.1 PPG and 45.6% 3-pt FG pct, Alabama ranks 7th in Div. I with 86.0 PPG this season.

Memphis will look to improve on its 2-12 record against ranked teams under Penny Hardaway.

Damn! I forgot all about having a game tonight. I’ve been buying a truck this afternoon in Robertsdale and if I hadn’t checked (everyday) this board I would have missed it.

This is the emotional drivel I’m talking about. Nothing here means anything. Just another platitude “Bama Bball cursed.” But please tell me more about how young and dumb I am. I really love the part where I’m a dumbass because I don’t have to use a walker to get around the house.
