JD played very good and he will only get better. Tchikou looked good for how long it's been since he's played and I think he will only get better moving forward. There's a lot to like about this team. We gotta continue to defend at a high level in this tournament though. DEFENSE IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS

I’ve loved watching JD so far and the level Bediako has played at this early has surprised me.

Get well soon Cecil.

SEC Network posted this short clip of various angles of Tyler’s 3 pt shot in the Oakland game. Loved seeing the bench’s reaction and loved even more seeing Tyler immediately turn and acknowledge the student section after he made the basket.

La Tech has won 3 in a row since they played us. 3-1

SDSt won 3 in a row since they played us. 4-1

USA beat Mobile last night. 2-2 (USA's 2 wins aren't against D1 teams).

I can't imagine the Tenn/UNC loser today feeling great about things. Rough start for one. Tenn -2.5

Arizona-Mich tonight is intriguing.

South Dakota State has a very interesting tournament coming up: Nevada, Washington, George Mason.

I can’t speak on George Mason because I haven’t seen them play, but I like SDSU over Nevada and Washington. I’m curious what the line will be when they play Washington. SDSU will win outright, Washington is NOT good.

JD needs to start being more aggressive. In 4 games he has only attempted 9 2pt FGs.......that ain’t gonna work

Mason has been solid so far - beat Maryland, beat some decent mid-majors and lost a close game to JMU.

Nevada was supposed to be pretty good but has struggled so far.

Washington is abysmal. I don't know why they've kept the Syracuse guy around so long.

I think he's been timid due to being new and trying to avoid offensive fouls. I've seen opponents trying to draw them when he goes to drive. As he gets more used to the speed of the game at this level, he'll become more confident.

So far, he's been kinda following the lead of 2 veteran college guards. He's never played with other guys equally capable of running an offense. He's spent most of high school playing in a small classification. AAU got screwed up with COVID, which cost him opportunities for experience against high level talent. You could see vs USA, him getting more aggressive.

I'm glad to see him ease into it, them force plays and make a million mistakes. So far, I think he's been great and is visibly getting more comfortable with every game.

Some good games about to tip to round out the night. Always nice having a decent team where you care about watching other games.

Colorado State just hammered Creighton

This is going to end up being one of the most difficult out of conference schedules ever.

AP poll comes out in the morning. Would love to be at least #10 (that’s where Jeff Goodman has us tonight)

I agree in that you want your best players to be aggressive but I was just telling my dad he's done an amazing job of not forcing it. Imagine how hard it is to score 25-30ppg in HS and then have to change your mindset to 1) I don't have to score a ton 2) my teammates can score. Completely different from HS. He's done a great job of not taking bad shots and I haven't seen him pass up many he should have taken.

Both things can be true.

So there will be NO thanksgiving dinner during the Iona game. Let it be said!
