Yes. He and the big guy we have contacted from St. Joes both look good - can score inside, rebound, and shoot threes. But the portal is just starting to fill. Will be over a 1000 in a few weeks. Also interested to see with SEC players are looking for a new home with all the coaching changes. I would love to have Murray from LSU who played with Bediako and Bradley at IMG. Several on this board want Kobe Brown from Mizzou, but we likely would have to take his brother too.

March Sadness: Alabama Basketball Concludes Season with 0-4 Drought (SI)

While the season had a promising start, the Crimson Tide simply could not find a way to win in college basketball's most impactful month.

While there is hope and optimism on the horizon, that doesn't help Alabama fans get over their team's 0-4 record to conclude this season. After all that this team achieved and was capable of achieving, a thrilling start ultimately ended in a whimpering conclusion. For now, the Crimson Tide faithful must continue to experience a feeling that seems to be historically entwined with the program.

What exactly did you take such exception to in that article? It all seemed pretty fair and an accurate assessment of the season to me.

I like that lineup BIG BIRD but my only thing would be Gary & Brown are pretty much the same player so do you let Gary go to bring in another shooter?

Every great team needs multiple guys that do the dirty work. They'd rarely play together in that scenario.

I want gary back... He looked like the old gary yesterday, just needs to keep working on that step out 3 and just be that junkyard dog again. Jq appears gone, , jd id want back because he ll have better pieces around him . Llewellyn and aamiq sound like good takes to go with bediako, gurley, burnett, and the new recruits.

The biggest thing I blame Oats for is going with Rojas over Gary in most scenarios down the stretch of the season. He didn't play as well this season, but he is still 1000x better than Rojas.

Gary wasnt the same for awhile after he got hit in the face, rojas gave us his all but he just isnt skilled enough. I think pringle looks like he ll bring that edge of "frick laying it up im dunking this ##!!". Miller attacks the rim as well, but is effortlessly skilled and is a matchup problem at 6'9. I think with the size and personnel available next year i could see a bigger emphasis on scoring in paint and the 3s coming more selectively. The size is definitely gonna help us on the defensive end, bradley , burnett, and griffen are rangy long wingspan guys.

No, what’s stupid is that some of you guys have created some dumbass basketball fan accreditation system to make yourselves feel better. Anyone who criticizes anything about the basketball program is called some name yall made up, unless of course they’ve been posting in this one single thread on the internet for an acceptable amount of time, then they’re a true fan.

But they only come in here and post when we Lose. They were never in here when we won last season

Hell, 95% of them can’t even spell the damn coach’s name correctly….and they want me to give any validity to their opinions on him?

So......taken out of context or misstated by the coach? Because if this is true my takeaway isn't "damn media" it's "um, coach?". What a shite show.

No passink is trying to put the fire out that our shite show basketball beat writers create. Most of those fricks dont even cover the basketball team in a positive light ever. That didnt sound right from the beginning because i know that alot of players do go out after games and shoot some more.

Sorry, but some of that is on Oats then. He said it 2x about 2 separate open gyms, and with his previous comments about effort and commitment every post-game for 6 weeks it is absolutely reasonable to believe he brought it up in that light.

Hell I'm still not sure why he brought it up if he wasn't bringing it up in the context of commitment of players. Why did he even say it? What was the point of the comments?

Like, you hear what he said and you conclude that he said it......just to inform everyone of the attendance for a shoot around out of the blue with no reasoning behind it? That doesn't make any sense. If he's only talked about the one shootaround that JQ went to alone in the context of discussing his injury? Ok, he was just noting how it sucks JQ for hurt because he worked so hard. But then he talked about ANOTHER ONE where only 3 guys showed up.

Its an attempt to create shite thatisnt there imo. Truth is we probably peaked too soon and could only cover up our weaknesses for so long. I think nate hit it on the head when he said we had a lack of maturity. Herb and petty , bruner and reese led last year. We just had guys this year who didnt know how to lead or didnt feel they had earned the right yet(i e. Gurley being a new guy).
