If you think all those guys are coming back, boy are you in for a surprise.
It’s POSSIBLE, but I’d put some money down that 2-3 guys listed there to come back transfer

That doesn’t mean anyone wants to see the same five guys back next year chucking bricks, passing the ball to the other team, and getting torched off the dribble by everyone they guard.
I'd much rather be in a position where we need to use the portal to find gritty tough guys and speciality dudes (sharpshooter, veteran PG) than using it to try and find great athletes and big talent guys.
The portal is a gold mine for what we need. It's an absolute crapshoot for the other.
Mussellman is probably the best coach in the league at probing the portal for guys that fit specific roles like we are going to need to do.

I actually forgot about Baylor and was only remembering conference games.

Something to evaluate:
We beat Gonzaga, Houston, Baylor and Tennessee with the same roster that played the end of the season (except Q getting hurt today)
Those other four teams all improved, even Houston made it work after losing Sasser. So, what exactly happened? Until today, we didn't lose a key guy between then and now.

Reading comprehension is obviously not your strong suit.
Go play outside and let the adults talk.

So what did Oats say post-game? Wheres Chadaristic? he usually posts the after game comments.
Is everybody feeling relieved the season is over? I am, just sad I won't follow the Tournament with any interest anymore. Probably just watch the Final Four.

I think the whole "nobody showing up to a voluntary shoot around but JQ" probably tells the story about lack of improvement over the year.

And tells a big story about the coaching staff

This season is pretty simple in hindsight
- roster with talent but also major holes
- mentally inconsistent/disengaged roster
- coaching staff that never could figure out how to change that mentality

Oats said Quinerly was "the only guy who went to a voluntary shooting deal" last night
Holy shite.

Yeah, and it wasn’t even expected to be a great defensive team. Solid, a step back from last year certainly, but not great. Turns out we were just trash on that side of the ball, and Herb Jones just provided more cover than we realized for a lot of below average defenders.

Nate Oats: "Overall, I'd say we had a successful season, just a little disappointing end and a little inconsistent, to be honest with you. And the inconsistencies bothered all of us. All the fans are real annoyed, the coaching staff, the players were annoyed."

The season we had may affect who we attract in the portal. I am all for trading for a couple of studs. That aspect is unclear.

I’m probably not watching another second of basketball. Just no interest. This season left a bad taste in my mouth.

Why would Nate want any of the other players to return for another shot at the title?
The difference in BB IQ between ND and Bama was way more than night and day.
What would be the O/U for Bama players hitting the portal as early as Sunday?

No, the story will be told about the coaching staff if all these guys are allowed to stay. Some definitely need to leave, we'll be better off without them.
