I really don’t believe we should take anything from that game. That’s not who this team is. Just a random shite storm. I’m very thankful that it wasn’t a SEC game
kinda how I feel about it. I do worry a little tho bc we didn’t look great against State either. Think they just need to settle down a little and ignore the rat poison that comes with being as good as they are. Oats and Rylan talked a little about that after the game.

good teams don’t lose to NIT level teams by 30

1. OU is a much better team than their record. Most of their losses were very close games to ranked teams.

2. Good teams lose to bad teams by large margins all the time in basketball.

Bradley, Burnett, and Welch combined to play 41 minutes and produced 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 turnovers, 1 point, and 8 fouls between them.

Bradley prolly had his worst game of the year. I still think this team will go how Bradley plays, especially come tournament time. How he effects the rhythm will mean a lot.

Not bad, but Id need to see a lot more defense out of Griffen to throw him into the starting lineup

I think a lot of our guys really had their worst game today or close to their worst if it wasnt.

3 or 4 Oklahoma guys had their best games of the year.

Thats a recipe for disaster.

Jaden Bradley should not be a starter. He has been bad for some weeks now

Its definitely not the end of the world, Kansas lost at home to Kentucky by 20 in the SEC/big 12 challenge last year and went on to win the national championship.

Anyone acting like this means we are overrated and dont deserve our ranking is an idiot that doesn't understand college basketball or is a troll. Its a long season, theres ups and downs for every good team.

That's more a result of OU's recipe (vs ours).

Exactly it wasn't like Oklahoma made a bunch of wild shots. They got whatever look they wanted against us

Playing bad basketball right now. That’s my real concern. Guard play has fallen off. Sears and Bradley both playing poorly. Quinerly is never going to change...as talented as he is relying on him to play more than 15 min is going to be a detriment.

Not nearly enough ball movement on offense. We aren’t making the extra pass and when a player drives to the basket they aren’t looking to dish as an option.

Wake up calls are one thing but getting obliterated by an NIT team is never a good thing. Not surprised we lost tbh but surprised how badly we were beaten.

On to Vandy.

LINK ]Alabama left looking to regain its edge after loss at Oklahoma (BOL, segment)

quote:

Guard Rylan Griffen, who led the Tide with 15 points off the bench in the loss, said he plans to use the loss as motivation after Oats had tried to get a clear message across to the team.

“He’s been telling us something like this was due to happen, and we didn’t really listen,” Griffen said. “We didn’t come out ready to fight. The locker room, we’re just focused on getting better. There was a point where you could kind of feel that we thought we were kind of untouchable. But today, we came out and lost.

“Coach Oats has been warning us about something like this happening, and now that we see that, we need to come back out with an edge on our shoulder and start the games off better.”

Yeah i think today trying to play so many guys backfired a bit, especially when two of them are pretty injured.

Pringle could literally be a double double guy for this team.

He's being held back for some reason.

Pringle has strong hands and around the rim he's a strong presence and that's what we need.

Bediako weighs more but I guarantee Nick Pringle could bully him in this offense.
