To embrace swagger and physicality - sure. To act flippant about truly criminal behavior? Absolutely not. I'd rather be a doormat than endorse a culture of shitty people who are good athletes.

I for one am ready for us to get back to murdering people on the court instead of off of it.

I'm going to give Mistaken the benefit of the doubt that he is being misinterpreted here but his comment was pretty reckless. Should probably delete or clarify.

Dude....
If they want to have a "frick you" attitude regarding the awful shite they're going to hear from opposing student sections and the media I fully support them in that endeavor, but otherwise this is not exactly a situation where you want to steer into the skid. There's a big fricking difference between a reputation for hard fouls and dirty play on the court and actual criminal behavior off of it.

Just an in poor taste joke. It happens. I give Mistaken the benefit of the doubt because we all say/have said dumb shite on the internet.
Let’s get this thread back on topic of beating Vanderbilt and marching towards the SEC title.

This is what I was meaning. We are gonna hear Chants all season because of this and I hope it fuels our team to beat the shite out of the opponents.

True or false: Jerry Stackhouse is Muss if Muss was the tall, athletic black guy he dreams of being.

True-ish. I will say it seems like Oats respects Stackhouse’s sets a lot more than other coaches. He has hyped up his schemes in the past a lot more than our other opponents I’ve felt like.

Good point. I don't mind Nate going without a tie, but I am not a fan of the recent trend of basketball coaches - Huggy Bear excluded - wearing track suits, athletic gear, or polos to games. Wear a fricking button down and a jacket. It's not like you're outside.

quote:Alabama should simply embrace the truth. A tragic incident has occurred resulting in a murder in which an Alabama player, while not pulling the trigger, facilitated the murder. At this time we don’t know if there was intent on his part nor other important factors. As far as we know, no other Alabama players were even remotely involved.
Should we embrace…
IMO, Bama fans should just continue to wait for further relevant facts to emerge. Knee-jerk reactions usually prove to be wrong and Darius has no known history of “thugest” behavior. In fact, he was known for being a great kid.
I hope the program (especially Nate) or University does not abandon him, unless he proves to be callous or oblivious or unrepentant about what has really happened.
