Edit. I didn’t realize that had been debunked

shite, bruv. Lock your doors, don’t leave your house, don’t turn on the news, and keep to Golden Girls and 700 Club.

No it doesn't lol. No one still on the team had anything to do with this. Miles hadn't contributed to anything this team has done on the court this year.

I'm still RIDING with the GUYS regardless.

I'm hoping the situation brings us even closer as a TEAM and as FANS on here.

Very sad situation all around. I have the greatest sympathy for the family.

I hope it does not affect the team but it is hard to tell. A very traumatic event to say the lest.

I'll be in Nashville for the game on Tuesday so that just got a bit more interesting.

First of all, this is a tragic event and I truly feel for the family of the victim and many others who’s lives changed forever today because of this senseless act of violence.

I also can’t imagine what must be going through the minds of Coach and the players right now, it will be a tremendous challenge to focus on basketball right now I’m sure.

I suppose the good news is this team is extremely talented and even if this horrible situation causes a letdown on the court, they can find their footing after some time and be alright. I don’t think this group of players is setup to completely spiral out of control. Stranger things in sports have happened, but they will endure.

Overall, this is just a really really awful situation and I hate that it’s happened. It’s truly difficult to try and find any way to sunshine pump right now.

Heard from a usually reliable person in Tuscaloosa that the guy with Miles was a longtime friend he had brought to Tuscaloosa with him and that Miles wasnt the shooter.

The shooter himself got shot in some return fire, we knew that part.

Be careful who you associate with. A tale as old as time.

I saw a guy on the rant say the Tuscaloosa rumor is the other guy was the shooter but it was a gun owned by Miles.

Brandon Miller won’t be thinking about Darius Miles when he pulls up for a 3, and I won’t be either. Frick that POS murderer. Dude was barely on the team at this point. I’m not going to let his braindead and evil actions affect an ounce of my support for the rest of the innocent guys on the team and y’all shouldn’t either. If anything, I’m going to be rooting even harder for our hardworking young men who are being thrust into a bad spotlight by an ignorant non-contributor who will live out the rest of his life behind bars if convicted.

ETA: Edited for the sake of due process.

If he wasn’t the trigger man that might spare him the Death Penalty and a Life Sentence. He might walk as a free man many many years from now.

This may be the best case scenario since he was charged with capital murder. Still makes him an idiot, but not a killer.

Maybe I’m jaded but…… seems like a soft take? It’s terrible and sad, especially for the victims family. If anyone tunes into the news it’s nothing but tragedy. Yet we continue to focus on our daily tasks.

I always liked the person Darius portrayed, seemed like a fun loving guy. A tragic reminder of the importance of our decisions.

However, I have no issue focusing and supporting this incredible team when we hit the court. The team? That’s a whole other story but we will see.

Depends on how the friend got the gun. If it was "hey give me your gun so I can shoot at this car" then they're still equally culpable for murder. If he came into possession of it earlier that night after the initial altercation on the Strip then Miles is a somewhat minor accessory but I agree that it would make him an idiot but not a killer. If he came into possession of it before that then I'm not even sure why Miles got charged unless there was something illegal about the gun.
