Oats recruited the dude and brought him back....Nate whiffed on the character evaluation....it happens....Saban has done it too.....but a player committing a murder (allgedly) is pretty bad....
You should have seen this coming too, why didn’t you stop him?

The vibe of the video was that of a kid that knew his life was over. If I was talking to my mom, I'd also let her know that I didn't shoot anyone if I was innocent. In that video, it seemed more like a goodbye.

Well ok, I would say the 9 downvotes you and Bryant have between your last two posts would indicate most people here think its a bad take.
I guess if you are ever a boss somewhere and one of your employees you hired commits murder you will resign and hold yourself personally responsible since you must be such a great judge of character.
There are people who are married to killers and have no idea, how is Oats supposed to know a bball player he recruited going to kill someone a few years later?

Quit being an obtuse idiot
No one is blaming Oats for what happened but an Alabama athlete, it sounds like, just committed murder or is an accessory to murder......this isn't some run of the mill problem with idiot college athletes getting into trouble. However, Oats is responsible for the program, his players, and recruited this guy to campus. It's a bad look however you want to slice it. I'm sure Oats is sick about this.........

I didn’t count on me getting into it with the least talented Castille on Twitter today over this, but here we are.

I always try to hold judgement until the facts are out.
Doesn't look good at all given the fact they've already been charged, but according to public knowledge (shot fired into vehicle striking the victim and "return fire" from the car) there is still hope that he didn't fire the shot or has some sort of claim to self-defense (driver shot first).
I'm really hoping it isn't what it seems. From all prior accounts, he seemed to be a great kid.

Search Twitter for Caleb Castille.. he had a very ill- timed and tasteless joke about the situation

You are entirely correct....we really should wait and get all the details and reserve judgement here.
It's just a horrible situation all around......the program has such great momentum right now

I hope they aren’t that soft or we are fricked.

I don’t see the SEC accommodating that unless we just decided to forfeit.

He deleted the ill-timed joke and is now going all in on how racist UA is. Deflecting big time.

Belichik is one of the best player evaluators of all time and he drafted and signed a guy to a multi million dollar contract that would later go on to kill 4 people. This could happen to any coach.

It’s his last multiple tweets. He made a joke about “this isn’t what I meant when I said we needed better shooting”.
He got called out, then blamed lack of gun control. Then blamed racism. Then called the Presidents House a plantation and claimed he’s been making a documentary on racism this entire time, though never mentioned it before today.
It’s been a real shite show.

If the Ring video that was just dropped on Twitter is legit, this was a shootout. I don't think the footage shows anything, but there was like 15 shots fired.
