The key to tommorows game is Chuck. If he mans the frick up like he did against North Carolina and Guards Tolu Smith we will win easily IMO. If he plays soft AF like he did against Timme it will be a tight one

Nate Oats Wants Less Turnovers Against a Stout Mississippi State Defense (SI)
Mississippi State poses a great challenge for Alabama in both teams' SEC opener.

Fired up for conference play to begin. Miss State hasn’t faced anyone like us.

I feel like theres not enough positivity from the fans towards this team and we have a top 10 ranking and are projected by most to be a two seed.
I vow to start praising the things we are doing well more than nitpicking the turnovers, which really has been the only negative so far.
Really proud of what this team did in the ooc schedule, now time to take care of things in conference.

Went to lineville (3 1/2 hour drive) and got a new puppy (golden retriever) yesterday and have been up since 2. I never went back to sleep after the 2am bathroom break and am on my 2nd bowl game rerun.
I will catch hell trying to stay up for the game tonight

Joka, I’m nervous. States defense is FIERCE and with the way we turn the ball over…….I smell disaster

We may be without Miles tonight. He’s going through some stuff mentally. Talked to him yesterday and he’s doing better and getting help but definitely keep him in your prayers.

I hope he gets his personal affairs in order but just from a strictly on court perspective, I think him not playing would be a good thing for us.

It’s probably been a hard season for him, as he was likely expecting to contribute a bunch more. He’s a really gifted athlete, but is more of a “flow of the game,” pickup ball type player that’s going to make some mistakes in organized basketball.
He would probably benefit from being somewhere he could play more, as he needs to “get going” in a game and our roster doesn’t afford that type of opportunity for him. He’s definitely a fun guy and seems like a good locker room guy (not the hard working leader type but you have to have the fun, keep people relaxed guys too). I hope he works out his personal issues and has a chance to be successful, even if it is at a mid-major next year.

Sorry if I missed it, but when you say "as well," are there other players out for tonight?

I would just say the best thing we can do is take whatever we get from him and be supportive in whatever he does at this point. Try to be positive and keep him in a good place mentally for HIMSELF, not for anything basketball related.
