I been harping on that issue since I think the Southern Illinois game I think...I said if Bediako keeps playing that coverage...he's going to get us killed.

We should of doubled the point guard up top every time to force them in to turnovers.
Yep. Gonzaga's biggest weakness is that they don't really have many high level ball handlers and we did very little to try and exploit that.

Also why is Timme, a Senior, still in college if he is so good? Guess NBA doesn’t want him very much.
I’d take him on Bama’s team in a heartbeat!
29 points on 12-18 from the floor and 10 rebounds. Dude is a veteran and loves Gonzaga. He will get to the NBA, just watch.

See when losses can be avoided I get frustrated but I'm telling y'all...our coaching failed us defensively.

Joka the negative one here? That's kind of hilarious tbh.
I wouldn't have minded a 2-3 zone in the last 10 minutes to try and slow them down and try something different, but we have an analytical coach who is going to play percentages. His style is the reason we are one of the best basketball teams in the country. I'm okay with trusting it and it burning us the on the rare occasions that it does.
Even with a team operating at an historically efficient level with an historically inefficient shot and us having 21 turnovers, we still took them down to the wire.

We played on our heels the entire day. And our young guys started overthinking help early on.
Should have told them to pressure and live with getting beat over our heads some - both because it would have been better against their strengths but also to loosen our kids brains back up.

We’re fine, Joka. Oats and Henry will get it figured out. We get Welch back soon so that should help with defense and we will eventually get Nimari back and we know are elite defensively with him

Brandon Miller put on a show. Jaden Bradley played pretty good but honestly it was kind a disappointing.

The plan was obviously to try to deny Timme the ball, but we chose the less risky way of doing it and still made too many too many mistakes. Not really sure why we didn't adjust to something more risk/reward that didn't rely as much on help defense. We just kinda let them get into their sets and rotate us until someone made a mistake and they could get the ball into the paint.

It was reminiscent of the SDSU game in terms of us slacking off and letting them run offense unopposed. Of course, Gonzaga has much better offensive players than SDSU did.
I'm just not sure it's a repeatable model for many other teams. You need a pretty specific group of players with a high level of patience and skill to do it.

Does he really believe the people of Birmingham thought that was a good game?!?! Or Alabama fans anywhere? Holy shite, he obviously does not know Bama fans.

You can blame a lot on defensive play and that's fine but a team shooting 74% from the floor is just absurd. I don't know what you do against that.
