The SI write ups

No. 11 Alabama Basketball Overcomes Midgame Slump to Defeat South Dakota State

The Crimson Tide blew a 20-point lead but still won by double digits.

Alabama Basketball's Noah Clowney Makes Jackrabbits Pay for Leaving Him Open

True freshman, who has struggled from 3-point range this season, has big night to lead Crimson Tide past North Dakota State. (<- hey, it was late )

Alabama Basketball Barely Passes Maturity Test

Nate Oats was proud of the character his team showed, but needs growth in maturity after letting 20-point lead slip away in win over South Dakota State.

I see a number of B1G, ACC, and Pac 12 conference games scheduled today. Why are conference games starting so soon?
I thought generally conference schedules began around the last week of December to the first week of January.

If it were a week later, it might be College Gameday

conference games use to start in jan til expansion.

Also, most teams get close to week off for finals or close to it.

Without looking, I remember certain conferences would play a conference game or two and then finish the ooc schedule.

Its no different than the sec doing the sec/big 12 challenge at the end of jan.

I think the SECTCG was on ABC a few years ago, but definitely not a regular season game. Not since the early 90s.

I didn't get to see the game. Did the Miller, JQ look better?

Kentucky and Michigan playing on ABC today. Guess they are going to start sprinkling a few games on there.

Neither played a huge role but didn't force things either the way they had in the UNC game. I mean Miller scored 16 and hit a pretty big 3 late when the game was still close but not like some other games so far.

I think Miller is just figuring out he doesn't have to do it all. That's a lot of pressure he doesn't need to put on himself.

JQ barely shot until late and could've many times.

only 10 turnovers was a positive too.

I've never seen a team make so many fall away jumpers.
They were good at it.

losing a 20 point lead is a problem and it was with last years team too

biggest plus on the stats sheet is the 10 TO's that has been mentioned

Nebraska takes down #7 Creighton 63-53. Gary played 35 min and was a rebound short of a double double. Went 5-5 from the field including 1-1 from 3. Great to see Gary having success!

May end up being a decent Q4 win for us come tournament selection time.

Northwestern 70 Michigan St. 63

Of course we beat North Carolina and Michigan St., so now they are both going to suck the rest of the year.

Beating Houston on the road would be the win of the year.

UNC and Mich St will both make the tournament imo, those are gonna end up being solid wins.

I love our schedule, 5 of our next 7 games are against teams in the KenPom top 30.
