I’m disappointed, but not gonna complain.
It was a fun season and Oats has brought us an exciting brand of basketball (I never want to go back to Grant or AJ style).
Ultimately, this team carried a heavy weight since January and maybe it got to be too much for Brandon. That’s a lot to ask of a young person.
Thankful to the team for additional hardware in the trophy case.

If he indeed is hobbled because of an injury in the SECT, then again that shows how some top teams don't fret when they are knocked out of their conference tournaments early

Hell of a season but a massively disappointing finish given how the bracket opened up for us. Like.y won’t ever get that again. Just hate we couldn’t make the Elite 8 at least.
Hate to think guys like Goodman, the other AL dot come writers, Forde, etc are all so jacked for a bunch of kids losing. Also that fricking play by play guy was sucking off SDSU all game was so annoying

If you have an opportunity to win your conference tournament, you fricking do it. The NCAAT is too fricking unpredictable and large to not fight to be undisputed SEC Champs vs resting.
ETA: I get you aren’t saying you hoped we were eliminated early. Just that I’m glad we won the SEC tournament and going out early probably wouldn’t have led to an NCAAT championship.

One thing that really makes CBB unenjoyable is the crap-shoot that is refereeing. Most other sports the refs don't basically decide not to call certain things and to call others. In baseball the strike zone is the same, and if the ball beats the runner he's out. Football officiating is pretty consistent too. But basketball is like, one game canoe free flowing and another a rock fight.

We would have skullfricked Princeton even if we didn’t shoot well too. We are too athletic for them and would have gotten to the rim at Will. This is devastating.

Will be interesting to see how Oats pivots from here losing his top two assistants. We have a chance to upgrade if we play it right. Has to be attractive for assistants that Henry and Hodgson got HC jobs so soon.

Watching this Princeton/Creighton game, we destroy SDSU if we had this crew. They’re calling it tight and it’s actually a basketball game.

A. Win your conference tournament
B. Lose first round
C. Lose next round
D. Lose in championship game

Yep I agree. It doesn’t help if your in a conference that runs its tournament through Sunday either although that does make attending easier for fans.

SDSU does have the best 3 point defense in the country. March madness is all about matchups and this was a bad matchup for us. If we had been playing Princeton like Creighton is we probably make the elite 8 easily.

Darius Miles is my least favorite Bama player of all time, I’ll say that. Innocent or not you cant be carrying a gun around Tuscaloosa as a member of the basketball team. Not to mention he brought his hot headed friend here from Maryland with him and had him around our team.

Tennessee beats SDSU by 10, and we beat FAU by 15-20. It’s matchups, refs whistle favoring a certain style, and shooting. We were 0-3 and still almost won. That’s how good this team was, and how hard they played.
SDSU will get bounced as soon as they have officials who call fouls like they’re supposed to be called.
