Exactly. He looks healthy. He's gonna be a little rusty and needs time to gel with the new teammates. It's gonna be great to have him come March.

It's just taking these freshman some time to adjust to these horrible calls and stiff rims.

They are pulling our guys underneath for the offensive rebounds but Nate Oats needs to go to Nick Pringle when the other bigs aren't in the game.

Need to do a better job on the screens...we might need to double it

Yes CBB is a postseason sport. I’d sacrifice some points now having JQ play some minutes if it means we can put a better team out there in March.

JQ just needs to settle in with this team. He’s probably feeling that new “veteran” feeling where he wants to dominate the ball but it’ll fade once he gets used to these new guys.

ETA: Especially with how good these new guys are.

Tell me you coach basketball without telling me you coach basketball.

You’re not wrong though. Izzo is going to do whatever he can to keep Miller off the ball in the second half. I’d love to see us come out ready for it and take advantage of the doubles. Should open up shooting lanes and drives. Honestly, I think their best bet is to play him straight up, because every else struggled a bit in the first. If they throw everything at Miller and some of our guys get an extra step, we might blow them out.

Nimari with an 0-1 and literally nothing else in the box score first half. He was playing some excellent defense though.

Get a little offense (outside shooting would be nice) from him and Sears (who also played some pretty solid defense) and we are in business.

JQ still has some rust, which is to be expected. If we can get him up to speed and in rhythm with the rest of the guys, shite is going to hit the fan.

I would like to see us rebounding better in the second half. I'm also hoping they won't continue to shoot 100% on 18 foot midrange jumpers in the second half.

We did pretty well with only five turnovers in the first half. Need to continue that.

Not as a true freshman.

True, but isn't Miller 20 years old already?

Bill Walton is nuts. He’s a tall, younger Joe Biden.

Agree. If they throw two at Miller, we should really hurt them. I think Izzo will play him with one but also try to attack him on defense to get him in foul trouble.

Miller just turned 20. I still think it’s impressive what he’s doing as a Freshman with no previous college experience.

Sucks we miss an easy Bediako finish then a three goes in then out.

That could have had us up 8 right now

When the other guys are awake, I’m not sure the offense can be slowed down. An open BM off the ball is lights out.
