21-10 and finishing 2nd in our league after what all we lost is a great season
Many people may be disappointed with Bama performance this season, but I am satisfied.
A lot of coaches have been replaced and a lot of players have been replaced.
I'm excited about the future.

Ok, for now, I'll shut my mouth about fizzling regular season finishes.
Let's go for that tournament title!

Gritty win after playing uninspired all morning. Some absolute clutch shots. It’s a W

Now who do want to win or lose this afternoon for the best path in the tournament?

Better late than never, I guess. And the regular season wasn’t what you originally said.

NCAA? Yes! SEC? No, need to gracefully exit on Saturday and rest up. Don’t need to get physically beat up by UT, AU, etc. on Sunday prior to NCAA when it won’t benefit seeding at all.

Totally disagree.
These are young kids. Rest is overrated.
I'd be thrilled with a conference title.
I guess worst case though is making it to Sunday and getting beat.

I'm really happy that the seniors' final regular season game didn't end in a loss. I know it was a difficult game, but I would like to congratulate the players.

Yep. This team is definitely frauds. Won't make it past first weekend
They don’t handle physical teams well and aren’t particularly good defensively, but they’re also brilliant on offense.
That makes them flawed, not a fraud. Frauds don’t finish 2nd in a 6-7 bid league.
How far they go in the tourney depends on matchups. Could they get bounced opening weekend? Sure. They could also be playing the last two days of March.

Maybe now people will see what Ystar was talking about all year about Estrada.
Not, not at all... let's do a hypothetical.
Who on this team can create their own shot?
Pringle, no
Stevenson, no
Nelson, not really
Walters, no
Wrightsell, a little bit, but we certainly prefer he be our guy to kick out too.
So basically you have two creators on this team. Sears and Estrada. Sears is great, but most of his creation is for himself which is great. Then you have Estrada, who once again had 7 assists today and I can count 5 more wide open chances he created for Walters twice, Stevenson, and even on 1 occasion, Wrightsell and Sears. Estrada isn't a natural point guard, but we are asking him to never stop the ball. Shoot or drive and finish or kick out. He is by far the guy we ask the most out of on this team. I defend him because it's bullshite to single him out because of the fact that we put a ton on his shoulders. Stevenson and Walters (until OT today) have been absolutely dreadful for 3 weeks. Yet since we don't ask them to do anything except catch and shoot, they don't catch the hell Estrada catches. Well I have news for you, if you pull Estrada out of the lineup for long you may as well pull all the spot up shooters out with him because they aren't going to get any looks unless Estrada and Sears are driving downhill and opening things up. Does Estrada have bad spurts, sure, but just sick of hearing how he is the problem. Imagine how stagnant this offense becomes without him.

Get Rylan Griffen back...
Sears
Wrightsell
Estrada
Griffen
Nelson
Let's get this thing back CRUNK!
I do think the 4 guard lineup is Alabama’s best configuration.

This content is connected to the next season.
We need another ball-handler in the portal now that Estrada is unavailable.
There are no ball-handlers among the freshman next season, and Derrion Reid should develop into a SF in the future, but he is currently more of a PF and his weakness is ball handling.

If you could ensure a win on Sunday, sure. The SECT championship would be worth it. But we would be a material underdog, with less depth, playing our 3rd game in a row (and that’s true of virtually anyone we would play on Sunday). Getting beat by UT in a physical game for a 3rd time this season, 2nd time in a “championship game,” isn’t exactly a recipe for having a good NCAAT. We just saw how long it took to get over the last championship game we lost to UT, and we don’t have 2 games to “get right” after next Sunday.

We need a natural one and a shot blocking big!
Posted on 3/9/24 at 2:31 pm to BamaBravesPackers
Man listen...
All that bs out the door...this team ain't thinking like that. They want to win regardless.
When the NCAA tournament gets here then we will worry bout that but until then anybody can get it in the SEC tournament no cap!

We need to do what it takes to ensure Sears,Wrightsell, and Griffin return.
Posted on 3/9/24 at 2:39 pm to mistaken4193
And Nelson because he's not ready.
It's already looking like they'll get like $80k next season in a tournament.

We really gone act like the refs didn't help Arkansas today. Lol
Posted on 3/9/24 at 2:45 pm to Joka2kold
Joka, maybe. But we are gonna have Reid and Sherrill who will both start over him at the 4 and 5. And a Year 2 Stevenson might be better than him too

Here are my thoughts on Stevenson.
Young players need a good mindset before reclassifying.
This is because there is a very high possibility that the player's performance will be more disappointing than what he thought before reclassification.
I have seen many young prospects become frustrated during their Freshman season due to reclassification.
For this reason I still oppose reclassification of young players, but there are some positives.
They are very young. There is no need to be frustrated, there is no need to be disappointed. College basketball is a world away from high school basketball. There is so much more you can learn and experience in college basketball.
You may get more hype in high school right now, but if you don't give up in college and keep working hard and learning, you will definitely develop into a more valuable player in the future.
