GAMEDAY!!!
23 of the last 25 in conference!
I wonder how many times that's happened in our history? It'll make my weekend if we get #24 today. Big upside if we can pull it off. Rtr!

He is.
I'm gonna have to believe Griffin gets this task on defense for us. Hopefully he can contain him somewhat.

Tide Hoops History@BamaHistory
Today is the 60th birthday for former @AlabamaMBB player and head coach Mark Gottfried, who led the Crimson Tide to its deepest NCAA Tournament run in school history. Gottfried, born today in Crestline, Ohio, in 1964, played high school basketball in Illinois before moving to Mobile and finishing at UMS Prep (now UMS-Wright) where he averaged 21.6 points his senior year in 1982.
After playing one year collegiately at Oral Roberts, Gottfried transferred to Alabama and started 98 consecutive games. His senior season in 1986-87, Alabama finished 28-5 and swept the SEC regular-season and tournament championships.
After a coaching career as an assistant at UCLA and head coach at Murray State, Gottfried returned to Tuscaloosa in the spring of 1998 to coach the Crimson Tide. Under his tenure, Alabama won the 2002 SEC regular-season championship and in 2004 his team went on an unexpected NCAA Tournament run that reached the Elite Eight. The Tide upset No. 1-seed Stanford in the second round and eliminated defending national champion Syracuse in the Sweet Sixteen.

The Alabama men's basketball team looks to improve to remain atop the Southeastern Conference standings, as the Crimson Tide travels to Knoxville, Tenn. to face No. 6/7 Tennessee, Saturday afternoon, at the Food City Center.
The Alabama-Tennessee matchup features the two-highest ranked teams in the NCAA Net Rankings, with Alabama (12-5, 4-0 SEC) ranked No. 5 with Tennessee (13-4, 3-1) right behind at No. 6. Saturday's contest highlights two of the best players in the SEC as Alabama's Mark Sears and Tennessee's Dalton Knecht were both named to the John R. Wooden Award Midseason Top-25 Watch List while also sharing this week's SEC Co-Player of the Week honor.
Alabama is riding a six-game win streak overall entering the contest, including four consecutive SEC wins, thanks in large part to the Crimson Tide's backcourt. Over the last six games, the UA guards are scoring 57 of Alabama's 89 points per game average, led by Mark Sears (18.3 ppg), Rylan Griffen (14.7 ppg), Aaron Estrada (12.8 ppg) and Latrell Wrightsell Jr. (12.0 ppg).
The Broadcast
Saturday's game is set for a 1 p.m. CT tipoff and will be aired on ESPN2 with Karl Ravech (play-by-play) and Jimmy Dykes (analyst) on the call.
The radio broadcast can be heard on the Crimson Tide Sports Network with Chris Stewart (play-by-play) and Bryan Passink (analyst) on the call, while Tom Stipe (engineer) is turning the dials. The pregame show will begin one hour prior to tipoff.

won 23 of 25 in the league and espn is about to do a segment on our coach being (possibly) out of line for putting a hand on an opposing player who walked into OUR timeout huddle looking for trouble. Come on man.

If that player had been white, then you would see nothing.
F um.

Bilas said it all. If the player doesn't come into the huddle, nothing happens. It escalated things.

I'd love to beat those orange fricks today. I'm a little concerned that Wague is going to be extremely limited the rest of the year.

I agree the player was out of line but Oats is a hot head sometimes. Has some bad technicals. But I love the fire he has and if that’s him, it’s him. I’ll take the Wimp with the winning.

Nate Oats is real and there's nothing fake about him. He handled the situation better than the refs!

Turn the TV on espn2. I was shocked to see time running out in the game before ours. "Our game is going to start on the correct channel!", I exclaimed. Then I saw the score is tied. OT upcoming, no doubt.

Made shot at the buzzer. A Christmas fricking miracle.

Syracuse with the buzzer beater.
Hopefully no delay in our game.

I know we’re getting into semantics but Nate really only put his hand on the players chest to stop him from coming any closer then sort of guided him to go back to his bench. Ppl are acting like it was full on shove.
There’s a difference.
Folks still showing their hatred for Bama. Good.
