If LSU women's basketball was a fetish, it'd be a hate frick.
Kidding aside. Instead of a push off foul on Von frickith or shot clock violation, they called foul on Bama. I don't watch much women's basketball. But in the first 2 minutes, we've been getting screwed on absurdly obvious calls against a conference favorite.
And LSU does have a couple fine ones on their team.

I gotta say this is a solid crowd for a Women’s game

I’m glad we stuck with Curry. She took over a disaster and probably the worst program in the SEC and she has made us respectable and competitive.

Penny all but said they have a culture issue on their team after the loss tonight. I wonder how much our former PG is contributing to that?

Memphis fans on twitter dont seem to be enjoying the Quinerly experience so far.
quote:
Quinerly is horrendous. He’s not a point guard. He’s a ball hog who plays horrible basketball. Bench him

Both Villanova and Alabama told him to transfer for a reason

Quinerly is awful. I love his dribble dribble turnover offense. Can’t ever hit a free throw. Just a total bum

Cut Quinerly and fire Penny

Seems like he was blaming JQ in the post game PC.
quote:
Penny on how Tigers blew a 15-pt halftime lead: “We just won’t take pride. It’s just bad shots again. … We just won’t get the ball up the court and share the ball.”

I have no love for JQ. He repeatedly held Oats hostage for more money and then according to Mac once we paid him for this season he hopped in the portal anyways. Screw him.

Can y'all imagine JQ in our current offense minus Estrada? Sears wouldn't be near as productive, and Wrightsell/Griffen/Walters wouldn't get near as many looks

This is kinda sad/pathetic

just saw the memphis thread on msb.
I think I would melt down if my team blew a 20 point lead.

Considering how much he's getting paid to stop the ball, over-dribble, and jack up bad shots, I'd guess quite a bit. Quinerly is the Jordan Poole of college basketball.

These next two games are massive for the SEC Championship race. Tennessee and Auburn are probably (along with Alabama and Kentucky) the top 4 in the league and Alabama has to play both of them twice.
Maybe a little room for error with Tennessee since this one is on the road and we will get them back at home later.
But Auburn at home next week almost feels like a must win, because Auburn isn't likely to lose much if at all at home so they need to drop some road games, starting next week.

The opportunity the team has tomorrow is tremendous and the downside is relatively small outside of getting blown out by 25.
We win this one and we will vault into the top 25 the way Auburn did after beating Ark.
I think we match up better with Tenn than Auburn.

We have had moments where our ball rotation looks like an NBA team. Guys guys unselfishly making that extra pass to an open man. I have not seen that in the last couple years on our team. Imagine if we had Miller this season with that level of team play.
And compare that to the JQ/Shack offense, and it's just refreshing to watch.
