We’re lying to ourselves if we think this is a tournament team. We’ve been lucky to play two unathletic top ten teams. We have no athleticism at the guard position and no center. That’s a recipe for disaster. Our team last year would beat this group by 60.

There aren't many decent SEC teams but that is the core problem. Alabama really needs to down 1 of their 3 big OOC games because I don't think there is going to be a lot of value put into many of our SEC wins.

Creighton is a damn good team. I'm disappointed Estrada can't score at all against high major opponents, after looking like Iverson against our mid major opponents. Nelson looks like he's afraid to be a leader on the floor. It just sucks to lose a game that was winnable.

I do not understand our possession with 13 seconds left. Take the immediate 2 or use all 13 seconds to get a 3 up. Wasting 10 seconds to get a 2 leaves a prayer at the buzzer as your only option. Just seems dumb

So because we lost to the number 1 team and the number 8 team both basically on the road you guys are saying we are horrible? You need to leave that football mentality behind, in bball losing games like this doesn't mean much, and if either were at home we wouldve won. We wont drop below 15 on kenpom. A lot of you are showing that you dont know anything about basketball. We played two great teams very tough on the road with the fans and refs against us.

Game observation:
Disappointed in Coach Oats.
He needs to play Davin Cosby.
He needs to sit Aaron Estrada a lot more especially down the stretch because he's going to have 2 or 3 plays that kills you.
He needs to be honest with Grant Nelson and let him no that all the finesse crap ain't gone cut it. Standing at the three point line ain't gone cut it... he's a walking double double and he hasn't performed near that level yet.
Grant Nelson has to fix his form if he wants to be a consistent shooter.
Jarin Stevenson is very similar to Grant Nelson...to finesse and not physical.

Very strange to see a 6’10 guy shoot with the same form I watch 8-year-olds use on Saturday morning because they are just doing everything they can to get the ball tot he basket.

Seriously? Purdue, Creighton and Arizona are all better than every single SEC team. UK and Tennessee are close but thats it.
I’m pissed off too but we can 100% go on a run in the SEC if we stay locked in. If our guys give up like our fans do then sure we’ll fall apart.
This team is a tournament team imo. An elite offensive team like this is the type of team that can go on a run in the dance with the right matchups. Cant give up just yet.
Also our bball team gets the “Super Bowl” treatment now because of last year and because how recognizable Alabama is as a program in general. Creighton had freaking special towels made.

Stevenson is not ready for this level of basketball nor is Walters. Matter of fact why did we even sign any of these freshmen if we weren’t gonna play them. P.S I’m tired of seeing Estrada make losing plays and lag back up the court. Nate had a lot of turnover but he dropped the ball this year. Very little raw talent on this team.

Layup was a really bad move by Sears. Definitely should have been discussed that there just isn't going to be enough time when you have zero timeouts.

Let's be honest, we are playing against more experienced teams who have players who have played big time ball and won games. We don't have anyone besides Sears who knows how to win big time ball games.
Nelson, Estrada, Wrightsell, Wague (and even Pringle) have not ever been asked to do what we are asking of them against Sweet 16 caliber teams.
Lot of questionable calls. Lot of lazy fouls.

Honestly, I lost today because of Nelson and Estrada. They have no upside defensively and have 8-28 FGs.
Wague played 7 minutes and recorded 5 fouls. The referee is inconsistent, but he actually called a few stupid fouls.

I think this is a tourney team too but they really could help themselves a lot by beating Arizona. Play Kentucky and Tennessee on the road but do get a home game v. Tennessee near the end of the regular season. They probably need to go 2-1 in those three games to be secure. What good wins does Alabama have? Good losses have value to the NCAAT committee but they only go so far...you gotta net good wins too.
