Why would you feel the need to say that if you really didn't? I smell a cover up.

To say @AlabamaMBB has had “unfortunate circumstances” in the NCAA Tournament would be an understatement. From SEC cluster seeding in 1986, to running into teams on emotional crusades (1987, 1990), to being vastly under seeded in 1990, the biggest confluence of events that probably has the fanbase convinced the basketball gods do not like Alabama is being eliminated four times by the national champion prior to the Final Four. Starting in 1976, Indiana beat Alabama 74-69 in the Sweet Sixteen before the NCAA created the current seeding process. In today’s format, it’s probable Alabama and Indiana would not have met until at the earliest in the Final Four. The heartache continued in 1982 when Alabama played North Carolina (James Worthy, Sam Perkins, Michael Jordan) in Raleigh, N.C., and had an identical 74-69 Sweet Sixteen loss. Alabama’s 2004 Elite Eight team got ousted by Connecticut 87-71 and in 2018 Villanova cruised to an 81-58 round-of-32 victory. So Alabama’s four losses to the eventual national champion are here to frustrate you, but also remind you the 2023-24 basketball season tips off in four days.
