I agree. I think Milroe is starter but the separation is paper thin and the slightest fall and he’s out.

Hopefully Simpson will get a chance in the first two games to work with the ones and make a better comparison. Last year IMO the team didn't have confidence or didn't want Simpson. Maybe the chemistry has changed with new coaching. Whoever gets the job done is who the TEAM needs.

Bottom line we are good at QB.If Milroe were to go down we are not dead in the water and I hope Simpson gets plenty of PT.

Team chemistry matters too. I think if you just benched Milroe thered likely be problems. Maybe not from Milroe himself, but he has earned the chance to start. Should he not get it done, then go to Simpson.

I think we are gonna rip up teams on offense regardless of who's starting. I'm looking forward to defense not knowing exactly what's coming and for the scheme to be doing some of the work.

did see that. Not sure if cautionary or legit done.

That would be a massive loss. Our OL turned their season around last year once he was inserted

I could understand KD not making it an open competition with the staff overhaul. Needed some semblance of stability going into off-season. I'm sure he and Simpson have talked a good bit. It would have been alarming if say there was an open competition for the back up spot

Most people do. That came off as you have a favorite and want the guy in front of your choice to fail so you get your way

It reads like he doesn't want to wait 4 games, if Milroe is shitting the bed to me. But, reading has always been a strength of mine.

Thank you good sir. First two games should be enough to know who is best fit to lead the team into Camp Randall

Is there anyone else to be the starting QB going into a road environment other than the guy that started has started 14 games and finished in the top ten of of Heisman voting last year?

So here is my take. Sorry for the delay. Had the lunch and had to head home.

Offense is good. We are solid at every position. We have good depth at WR. Good rotation. RBs obviously great/elite. OL looks great. No bad snaps.

Defense looks solid. The few questions marks, secondary, safeties are good I’m not worried there, boundary corner, they are young but they are fast and take coaching. Jackson seems good, other side probably a bit of a battle. ILB great to Elite, DL lots of rotation but I didn’t see a glaring issue. They got to the QB every now and again. As long as we don’t get the top blown off I feel good about this group.

There was explosive plays on both sides. Which was great to see. Creating opportunities.

I walk away refreshed. You can tell the team has worked hard. They are fast and lean.

No season ending injuries.

Let’s go, Roll Tide.

Good snaps and no season ending injuries means today was another positive.

It seems like this offense and coaching staff have been a match made in heaven for Ty Simpson!

He's been killing it since the spring!

I'm glad to hear that the WR's look good.

I think my (3) biggest worries will be the defensive back position, edge rushers, and kicker position.

Who will be opposite of Domani Jackson?

Who can get too/disrupt the quarterback consistently?

Is the kicker consistent?

Those are my main worries.
