Bama has given up lots of runs with two outs today

We are getting absolutely embarrassed. There’s losing and then there’s the past two days.

Still a good weekend. Tennessee is the best team in the country.

Agreed. A week ago I said ’d be happy to steal one win this weekend. We did. Let’s go on a new run.

Tennessee is just relentless in all phases of the game. all 11 runs are earned runs. Their pitchers have struck out 13 Bama batters.

We did what we needed to do but today had definitely been a little bit embarrassing. Our guys haven't competed at all. Especially the pitchers outside of Friday night.

yeah, looked like one of those get this shite over and lets get on the bus games.
but we won friday and that’s great!! BUT, we pissed them off and they buried us today. ha!
hopefully, bama will forget this series and get the groove back.

This right here. Two outs, up 1-2 on the batter, Hitt was one strike away from ending the 2nd inning with around 24 total pitches and Bama with a 1 run lead. Wound up walking the batter, then the next guy singles. The next batter walks and the bases were loaded. The next guy knocks in two. The next guy singles and a run scores. The next guy singles and another run scores. If I’m not mistaken, the first 11 runs were all made with 2 outs. Bama paid for every mistake. Pitching was the thing I felt most comfortable about today - we couldn’t have asked for a better situation heading into the last game of the series. Didn’t expect the hitting to dry up after Friday night either.
Having vented that frustration, I probably would have made a pact with the devil two weeks ago for Bama to go 4-2 over these series and to be tied for 2nd place in the west at the halfway mark in conference play. Everything is still in front of the team. Would have liked to have been more competitive in the last two games but it is what it is. No time for a midweek slump ahead of the UGA series. Win the next four and let’s see where we are next Sunday.
