That ref gave a textbook lead block on the pick 6. And Hardman definitely fumbled that ball before the goal line.

Anyway...mistakes are part of the game. You get the ball back and a chance to do something with it. Can’t be having your TE give up the ball so easily or your upback not even attempting to block the outside rush man on a punt. That’s just poor execution.

Wtf?! Not a good defense? Stop smoking crack.... Louisville to 14 points... ole miss to 7. Faggies to 23, but in garbage time. Basically shite down the run game on teams except one mobile qb. Give me a break!

Louisville to 14 points.

Louisville's offense is trash. Scored 31 against Indiana State, 20 against WKU, and 3 against Virginia.

Ohio scored 31 on Virginia. Not Ohio State, but Ohio.

If not late this season, then next season both Mack and Dylan will be improved

Uh, Mack may be improved in coverage (and he's not bad as is), but he'll be in the NFL next year, not at Bama. Moses will be a beast next year as per usual.

This defense has kept every starting QB from completing even 50% of their passes. And is averaging almost 2 picks a game against starting QBs.

Like I said we currently have the 11th best defense and the top ranked offense. And of the 10 teams ranked higher than us on defense only one has an offense in the top 10...Clemson (9th in both).

We’re sittin pretty fellas

They still have the second highest defensive efficiency rating for any team in college football. They have played pretty decent offenses in Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and even Arkansas State. I think they will be all right over the course of the year and stats correct themselves. There are a lot of young players learning every game as many are getting plenty of opportunities.

That said, it is a bit of a different dynamic. I had mentioned a couple weeks ago that it would be interesting to watch the defense play this year. Not because there should be any real concern over the quality of the defense, but it will be the first time that the defense doesn't have to feel compelled to carry the offense over spurts of time or, in some recent cases, the entire season. The defensive edge that has always been there when needed may not be as sharp right now as we are used to because it's not needed at the moment. That doesn't mean, the talent, skill, and effort won't be there when needed.
