Honestly, I hope he did lose it tonight.

It's rare when a QB wins the Heisman and then plays well in a bowl game or the playoffs. I think it detracts from their focus -- more so than players at other positions who win. QB is such a mental position.

Plus, I really think Tua was affected by the Heisman possibility tonight. He wasn't taking checkdowns as quickly as he has in the past. It looked to me like he was trying too hard to make big plays, rather than just taking what he could.

Most of the Heisman QBs bust in the NFL anyways.

If he loses it for one bad game then so be it. I think he’s played well enough and remains undefeated. That should matter, but I don’t have a vote.

We've had a hard time convincing big time QBs to come because of the "game manager" reputation.

Tua has changed that. I would like to see a trophy at the QB position. It'll last forever.

Tua is doing for QB what Julio did for the WR position.

That trophy matters and it will matter for years.

Tua should still win it. They have to factor in how much Tua sat out because of blowouts.

He also played the fourth ranked team in the country as well as one of the best defensive coaching staffs around.

I’d watch the Ohio state game but damn klatt is slobbering all over Murray and Haskins.

Tua didn’t lose it.

Most of the votes were cast before the games today. Heisman voting has been open since 11/26. It closes Monday morning. In the past years 70+% of the voting comes in before championship Saturday. I expect no difference this year.

I am just happy we won that game. Just like last year, I was absolutely convinced that we were not going to win based on how the game felt going into the 4th quarter. An SEC Championship is a huge deal. Would it be cool if Tua won the Heisman? Absolutely. But I will take the SEC Championship over the Heisman any day. I mean seriously, what we just witnessed was another legendary game that will be talked about for years to come. Soak it up. Had we still never had a Heisman winner, yeah, I would be frustrated. But we were fortunate enough to not only witness Alabama's first under Saban, but to get a second one with Henry.

And every Oklahoma fan/media Twitter account may be saying that Murray is the clear favorite now, but Tua had one bad game. A bad game against #4 Georgia in the SEC Championship game. It was the literal first time all season Tua looked anywhere close to human, and injury also played a major factor. It does not negate every other game that he played.

Becoming a first round draft pick and having success in the NFL would have a greater impact in changing our “game manager” reputation.

I actively decided to trade the Heisman for the game by the end of the 3rd quarter. I have no regrets
