A&M did the same thing to Lsu . Lost 17-3 7-0 then won 5-6

They had to lose sooner or later, maybe it will keep them focused..

5 grand slams in last 11 games!

Top of the 7th and GT loads the bases. I don't know why Murphy puts some of these pitchers in for, the point is to win the game not let everyone play.

Nice win tonight! I caught the last 3 innings, but the timing of some of the pitching changes was a bit puzzling ??

Alabama’s star freshman pitcher is going to miss some time.
Montana Fouts has a “minor injury” and — while she’s expected to return at some point this season — is out “indefinitely,” Alabama announced Friday.
It’s a blow for Patrick Murphy’s squad that entered Friday 34-1 and ranked No. 4 nationally. Fouts is 12-1 and ranks 10th nationally and second in the SEC with a 1.05 ERA.

That’s what happens when you throw a freshman too much. SMH.
ETA I’ll bet anything it’s some type of overuse injury.

I agree. We depend on her entirely too much

I slightly disagree..Her and Cornell have pitched a lot. We have a number of other girls who have pitched. Unlike last year we have 2 good ones. Last year we had one good one and the rest struggled to win an SEC game.

Murphy is a f/n idiot. Pinch hits the FAT girl who has the worst batting average on the team. If she could hit her weight, she would be leading the nation in hitting. His arse got bailed out again.

Losing Fouts is a big blow. Cornell is capable but she shouldn't be pitched two games in a row. I suspect Goodman or Gettins will get the start today with the other one coming in to relieve. Miss St is a pretty good team so I wouldn't be surprised if we take a loss today. The only way we win today is if our bats come alive and we simply outscore Miss St. Cornell gives us a good chance to win Sunday's game and we take the series. Our current pitching and hitting doesn't bode well against high quality SEC teams.

Fouts has pitched 87 innings
Cornell pitched 71
Gettins- 34
Goodman-30
Preston-10
That seems ok,especially if your ace is throwing games 1 and 3 in a series.
Now -with Fouts out. Our 3 and 4 pitchers have to pitch well(they've been erratic)and our bats need to be there. Also we had 3 errors last night.

Gettins pitching today, Bama will have to score 8 plus runs to win.

Bama up 2-1 after a 2-run homer in the bottom of the first.
