The offensive problems come from getting the play in too late

Go back and rewatch the second half.. When Bryce is struggling to get everyone set with 5 seconds on the clock we suck with execution.

When the play comes in with 20+ seconds on the play clock and everyone has time to get set we were nearly unstoppable.

The coaches have to have confidence in Bryce. He's supposed to be one of the most cerebral players ever. Give him the damn play with time left to recognize what the defense is doing and let him adjust accordingly.

Did anyone else pick up on this?

I understood taking our time early in the game. But even when there was less than a minute in the game, we still used a lot of the play clock. I guess we were trying to make sure of our OL blocking assignments as much as we could. Frazzled my nerves, though.

No... The problems come from a clueless coach that's in way over his head.

Yeah, I agree. I'm almost always watching the clock and the offense 'almost' got called for delay-of-game several times, as the clock moved to 0.

This was impacting plays, execution and sometimes resulted in other penalties. I thought we had gone back to the Kiffin years.

Of course, the fact they didn't result in pre-snap penalties, is a testimony of Bryce being acutely aware of surroundings.

The Patriots never won a Superbowl after Bob became an assistant.

The Patriots began winning again after he left.

Makes one think.

Contrast that with Bryce running that two minute drill to perfection

Yes it does. I've decided BOB needs to go. LOL. We need to run hurryup more often since it was so effective at the end.

Maybe BoB needs to move to the sideline.

Y’all remember reports from last year that BoB isn’t running his offense and they were keeping Sarks in place?

Now imagine using Sarks offense going up against Sark and also him having a TON of experience against Golding/Saban.

With that being said; I still think our coaches need to be lit up after this game.

This is funny to me. Weren’t people saying that Saban was getting him to take all the best elements from Sark and Kiffin for this year? Right.

I’d prefer Bryce call the plays instead of BoB. Same tired shite that got us in holes last year. There’s a reason nobody poached him in the off-season

Bob is awful and the receivers are just we bad. Honestly thought Bryce played great considering nobody blocked and nobody was open.

Exactly!! Nobody wanted him. With the way every other Saban coach gets poached.. yet, nobody poached him. Everyone can see it but Saban.

How much of rushing to get the play off is Bryce changing the play or coverages?

I don't know, he did seem to be walking up to the line and talking to them a lot. It didn't seem like there was an urgency to get the ball snapped sometimes. Maybe Bryce is just so comfortable, he has confidence in getting the play off at the last minute. Waiting till the last second doesn't give the defense time to make the last adjustment either.

We don't use motion or any other pre-snap shift to create mismatches.

Is that because the play didn't get there fast enough?

BOB is terrible. That is your answer

There's a real problem with the offensive line not knowing their assignments. They're turning around to Young on almost every play. When they don't do it, somebody usually comes totally unblocked. Same thing took place last year, but it was more excusable in year one of a new offense with a first year starter. The fact that it's still going on speaks to an issue with coaching.

BOB just isn’t a great coach. The game has passed him by. He’s an old school pro coach with zero creativity.
