Bingo. My side gig is at VUMC, and the concensus is no way Vandy keeps this up the rest of the season.

Vandy isn't a good team...they just absolutely wanted it more. I should apologize to Pete Golding...he isn't the worst DC Bama has ever had. But the truth is...Bama hasn't had a BAMA defense in 4-5 years...we just haven't been THIS bad against below average competition. Where are the junkyard dogs on defense????

Defense had no answer for TE Eli Stowers. Never forced their weak armed QB to have to throw more than 20 yards. They were constantly in 3 and 5 or less on 3rd down. A couple of times our defense couldn’t make the play on Stowers and he dragged the DB to the sticks. A couple of times the D played awful gap control, especially on the shuffle pass plays.
The double number penalty and the end of the first half gave them 6 and really changed the game. That was frustrating and shouldn’t have happened.

Vandy doesn’t suck and this is part of the problem. People are paying attention to the brand and not the games. They will absolutely go to a bowl game.

Is this a better than typical Vanderbilt team?
Yes, but I am willing to bet they win no more than 2 more SWC games the rest of the season.
And I haven't looked at who they play.

Georgia isn’t great. Vandy isn’t very good. Alabama is fools gold. The SEC in general is just a pile of shite outside of Texas.

That was a hope and a prayer and it got answered.

That was a play called from the bench where he heaved it 40 yards for all it’s worth.
The pass quacked like a wounded duck all the way down to the receiver. It was ugly and would not have been effective if Malachi Moore did what he was supposed to do. He let the only receiver running deep run past him into the EZ.

If anything I said wasn't true, Bama wouldn't have lost the game.

You can call me all the names you want. The fact remains Vandy beat Bama at all three levels the entire game.

This reminds me of this, probably one of the funniest press conferences of all time.

“We’re in 3 deep and our guy lets the kid run right past him!”

Nay. That’s not it. It’s knowing that this Vandy team lost to Georgia State.

It was not a fluke. They whipped us up front plain and simple.
