Let’s see what the next portal looks like for everyone. I think Ga. Has around 20 transfer already.

Exactly, there are still roster limitations. For every transfer a team gets, another player or recruit gets shown the door.

I think that’s the potential issue though. Do you spend your money on recruits and develop knowing they may leave the next portal? Do you spend money on the current players and portal players and tell the recruits pay your dues?

It seems like this will bite the big spenders in the butt. How can you tell a recruit that they will come in and get playing time. Only to bring in a big name from the portal that will play over them. Saban was good about waking the line of both, but we saw how that went at A&M.

They had talent but it wasn’t a bunch of highly elite talent like UGA in 2022. They will have a ton of guys drafted but not too many in the first 2 rounds

You people are insane. So what if they don't have the number 1 pick? At least 4-5 will go in the first two rounds, and they have probably 15 or more immediate NFL draft picks starting last year.

IMHO you tweet your focus. You look at substance versus flash. Recruiting rankings are flawed. You just don’t chase stars for rankings. You chase recruits committed to getting better. Eventually the chaos will balance out as those controlling NIL will need to see a ROI.

They average around 15th nationally in recruiting. They had 1 or 2 five stars and a ton of 3 stars. That's the point ppl are making.

So fans are acting like 2 year olds because we might suddenly be in the same position as the reigning national champion who somehow didn't have a single true weakness on the team?

What are you talking about? I was responding to the guy saying Michigan is loaded with NFL talent. The point I was making is that it appears to be possible to still win titles without top 5 classes.
