The debacle continues because now Milroe will play the entire bowl game & we're still sitting here wondering if Ty Simpson is a viable starter.

It was disappointing that DeBoer took the cowardly path, and didn't make a change at QB for the second half of the Oklahoma game

I'm not arguing that Milroe is a great QB, but I don't really get what people have seen from Ty Simpson in his limited time on the field that makes them think he is the answer. The offense did not look any more explosive or aggressive than with Milroe in the game. I think our QB room may have just been filled with a bunch of not-great options this year.

I tend to agree with most all of this but the season could have been worse if several starts left with Milroe. It was a wasted season at the end of the day. Just hope we can move on with a new QB.

Na dude, these couch super coaches know much better than the best cfb coach of all time, and now DeBoer. And Milroe only started because he does interviews and stuff on tv and is likable by the media, and the team would have mutinied if Ty had gotten the job, CLEARLY. There is so much concrete proof of this. Get your head out of the sand.

Why would we have to wonder?

We have seen Ty come in and look like nothing special. I would get if he lit up opponents but he really disappointed from what we were hoping he would be to take the reigns from Milroe.

To be fair, most of his limited action has been with the 2's and 3's. My fear is that he presses too much in stressful situations - hoping to shine. Is it possible to "try too hard?"

Wasn't that kind of the word on him out of the fall camp scrimmages last year? That if he made a mistake he'd overcompensate and try too hard to make up for it and it would snowball on him. I thought that's what some people who had seen them were saying.

He definitely seems to suffer from things that do suggest paralysis by analysis in some respects and letting perfect get in the way of good enough.

Obviously, I'm talking about meaningful reps - not some YOLO performance against Mercer.

He has shown flashes of athleticism in the pocket and has good speed. He makes quick decisions with the ball albeit he has never taken a meaningful snap against a legit defense.

At the very least he should have been given a chance at OU after the back to back pick 6's to see if he could provide spark. Milroe was done at that point. The whole thing was just odd unless Simpson is a complete douche and has an overall terrible attitude, which I doubt.

Walterfootball.com has their two latest mock drafts...one has Milroe going #3 to the Giants and the other #27 to the Steelers.

I know mocks don't mean squat, but with his athleticism and arm strength I could see him going late first round. Even 2nd round is life changing money.
