Wait what?
I have family members fairly close to the situation, and no they don't spill any beans.

Don't know how or why he got the job.
Didn't Mal make his last mission to get BB?
I'm not sure why, Ozzie is the only legit AD candidate
I've seen discussed.

People I know were pretty surprised.
Maybe he is just holding Ozzie's place. I certainly hope so!

Yeah, it just seems to me like he is trying to make a point if this is true. Which I am fine with and support 100%. I just hope he makes his point soon and gets that shite over with.
I understand 100% what you are saying and what you have said is the about the most plausible take I have heard thus far. I have a very similar situation at my work and after years of great chemistry with my former administrator, the new one ran in like a bull in a china shop and is a micro-manager who extends no trust and lords over everything of substance. Not a good situation and I can vouch it's easy to want to move on elsewhere in this set up and that's universal no matter how many years you have been where you are, a bad boss can ruin a great job. In ways, that sort of treatment after doing your job at an elite level makes the situation 10x worse when someone comes in and acts like they are the smartest person in the room when it comes to what YOU do.

Damn Kap I trust you as well not to BS and looking at everything that makes a lot of sense
I hated the Battle hire because it was rushed and it was a guy who had been mostly in a large business/corporate world setting and Bama needed a sports world guy 1st

pretty sure he's a placeholder. For whom is another question entirely.

Well it was tough with Ozzie getting a Super Bowl and he had a plateful with defections after the super bowl ring made the players "more valuable".
Deep down I'd be shocked if he turned us down, I don't think we asked him.

I just realized Gary Allan's song is perfect for the CC board
I'm just sitting out here watching airplanes
Take off and fly
Trying to figure out which one you might be on
And whyyyyyyy you don't love me anymore

yeah, but I don't think Sabes is on PWBjr's plane to go make deals in Austin.
I mean, that'd be a big FU to UA by Paul and I just don't see that.

It would be a shame if Battle fell up some stairs

I have a hard time believing he's the problem.

On another note the SECr seems cleaned up a bit.
. Did someone do a little RAing?

All the trolls have migrated to the CC board. Rant will be back to a cesspool when Saban makes a decision

That CC board is hilarious. Wants, wishes, and dreams living there.

I don't know, he's a businessman and a good one. Usually that type of guy likes for an action to have the reaction he expected. If he feels like he can get similar production for 2-3 million less per year then he will begrudgingly pay saban, not happily. That's kind of the way I see it
Mal was a football guy from humble begginings. Battle is a businessman. I think the laid back football guy is a better mesh with saban's personality

Losing Mal was a bigger deal than people thought.
