I mean their offense is pretty pedestrian. Its like Kirby is running a Bama offense from 2009.
Those Bama offenses were not pedestrian. I mean they racked up almost 500 yards versus an elite Florida defense in the 2009 SECCG. They didn’t usually put up big yards or have numerous explosive plays but they were pretty efficient.
This UGA offense has an elite OL that gives up very few TFLs (2nd nationally). They’re also 27th in total offense, 3rd in YPP, 18th in 3rd down conversions, and rank 10 I believe in points per drive. Their drives are long and drain out the clock while still scoring in the end.

Do you happen to have the rankings or at least the best defenses their offense has played all year? Curious how they stack up against ours.

Looks like Clemson was the best D they faced and they could not score on them and we are ranked higher.
The problem with stats are they are generated against the teams you play. The SEC west has 7 teams going bowling with 4 currently ranked in the CFB rankings.
Just maybe we actually played a very tough schedule in the of the best divisions in CFB this year.

Problem is that our defense is pretty good, except for the blown assignments that always lead to points.
Sadly Georgia has the personal to exploit those known weaknesses.
We will have to score in the 30s to have a chance. Really up to Bryce to make long throws under pressure. Not a high percentage chance

Except Bryce is one the best in the country while under pressure.

I don’t think his numbers under pressure in the LSU and AU games as a whole were particularly good though. Because there’s only so much you can do when the pocket is nonexistent on so many plays.

Yea - I think there is a big difference in accumulating pressure and uncontrollable all at once pressure.
Bryce has felt pocket collapsing pressure all year. The sort that builds and then busts. He's fantastic at handling that - whether escaping it or standing in and making a throw.
Bryce felt immediate, in his face, jailbreak pressure against LSU and the 1st half vs Auburn. He wasn't great against it, and to be honest it is nearly impossible to be successful against it. Especially when you can't see over the immediate LB in your face to dump over his head to a hot route drag or something, which is one of the disadvantages of being short like he is (it is also something that Stetson Bennett deals with).

This team has been "broken" ONE time in over ten years of football. I find it highly unlikely that would happen mathematically speaking.
This team isn't as good as we are accustomed to, but if they had any quit in them they would have quit this past week vs auburn.
Georgia isn't as good as everyone has allowed themselves to believe. The hype machine has gotten out of hand, but that is fair enough- we've been overhyped ourselves plenty of times.
Give me +1.5 in the turnover battle for the win Alex.

Alabama is going to shitcan Georgia's chances at getting in the CFP at anything above the 4th seed. In any other year, they'd probably not be in after tomorrow, but given that the pickings are slim, they will make it in to play Michigan in the first round.
Things are often not as good as they seem, and similarly, not as bad.
Bill O'Brien didn't all of a sudden forget how to draw up a short and intermediate passing game.

Haven't they given up the second most sacks in the country, and just lost a starter for the game?

No. They’ve given up the 2nd (Army is no.1) fewest sacks at just 8 on the year. I don’t know about an injury.

Yeah that’s what I’m trying to say. I guess some people (not you) were thinking I was saying Bryce isn’t good under pressure. You can be the greatest QB in history under pressure, but you’re not going to do much if you’re heavily pressured on like 40-50% of your snaps.

No matter what the UGA fans want to say this team is no where as good as the 2020 Alabama or 2019 LSU team
I agree. The times I've watched them, I'm not blown away with what they do on offense. They are not in the same stratosphere on offense of either one of those teams which both could demonstrate shock and awe right out of the gate. Alabama usually had the opposition humiliated and out of the game by halftime.
They really remind me of 2009 Alabama without Julio and Mark or Trent.
Defense is a different story where they are downright nasty so physical that they seems to not only stop their opposition but take the fight right out of them.

It was pretty impressive that he moved out of that in the 4th quarter. Most guys, once they start doing that, they're done for the day. He somehow moved past it.
He missed a wide open Billingsley that, had B. caught it, would have definitely gone for six. I think he hits that pass, Alabama cracks that game open. Auburn seemed to gain more and more momentum the more they came up with stops. Bryce seem to be rattled for a while in which I certainly don't blame him. He made up for it in the 4th quarter and OT and truly showed his mettle.

People can say UGA has no pressure on them, but we’ll see how they respond to a close game against a team that they DESPERATELY want to beat and possibly expect to blow out. Every minute that this game is close will give this battle tested Bama team more confidence
I’m fricking pumped. Let’s embrace this rare feeling of being the underdog and celebrate when we pull this shite out

I really don't think they'll break mentally. It's the physical part.

Yep, absolutely. You were dead on.
