My 2 major focus areas

I think one other major focus is whether we can get pressure on Johnson. Like a lot of QBs, he's significantly worse when he's under pressure. But if he has time in the pocket, he's actually a pretty decent QB.

If he has plenty of time to throw, I'm not confident in our chances to pull out the win.

Keep drinking the kool aid but we do not in anyway control our own destiny. The SEC is currently the not the best conference in the country right now.

Alabama will not jump in the final rankings if:

Texas B12 champ if undefeated
Oregon or Washington PAC 13 champ if undefeated
UM/OSU/PSU B10 champ if undefeated
FSU ACC champ if undefeated

That is out of our control. Some of those teams like the in the B10 could go 12-1 win their champ and still go ahead of us. ND is going to stay ahead of us as the best 1 loss team. Not to mention UGA does not look good and if they do not beat UK next week we better hope for total carnage the rest of the season.

And yes I am sure I will get responses that those conferences or who they play whatever it does not matter. Yes we need to win out which I think we can based on what I have seen from the other teams in the conference but we have to hope for other things to happen.

If Alabama wins the SEC, they will be in the playoff. Guaranteed. Have to win out and beat Georgia. Not probable but definitely not impossible

That's all Alabama has to do. Win it out.

Us winning it does not guarantee us a spot. The Pac 12 has five teams in the to 20. If they have an undefeated champ, we will not jump them. Texas already beat us, if they go undefeated we will not jump them either. The big 10 has three teams in the top 6, if they go undefeated we won't jump them either. The only hope would be that we jump an undefeated FSU team, that would have spent most of the Year in the top 5 and dismantled the SEC team many thought would be the best in the west.

The sec not making it in would be a huge story and the media would push hard for it. We wouldn't make it in just like we didn't make it in last year over a 2 loss team.

We are 5 games in.. everyone calm their tits with the whole “other teams playing lights out” there is a ton of football to be played. If bama wins out then we’re going to the playoff. End of story.

. I should have said, "in comparison to us struggling with teams like USF." But there are several things outside of our control - like other teams performances - injuries

There is no chance we would be left out of the playoffs if we win out. There will not be 4 undefeated P5 conferences champions.

As I stated if there are 4 undefeated P5 teams we will not get in. Funny you argue against me but state there will not be 4 undefeated teams. Meaning it is not in our control as we need one or more of them to not win out. Downvote all you want but we are not even a top 10 team right now.

Some people need to accept reality. Does not we will not get in but we are not in control. The days of the SEC carrying weight are no longer.

2018 and 19 are the only times in history we have had 3 undefeated teams, there has never been 4. You can argue extremes all you want but history suggests if we win out, we will be in. They are not going to leave out a 1 loss SEC team after the SEC has won 5 of the last 6 national championships.

Maybe not but that is not my argument. My argument is we do not control our own destiny. I have yet to see one person say if there are 4 undefeated champion P5 teams a 1 loss Alabama gets in. All I have seen is that will not happen meaning we do not control our own destiny.
