We all applauded the move when Cochran was replaced with a different kind of coach. Is it time NS reviews that and goes back to someone who builds muscle so our OL become maulers.

The injuries are down. I think this year we only had one guy who got hurt in the season that was not able to return. That was 92 on the DL

NO it's not them. It's more of what kind of players we brought into the program and wasn't properly developed by coaches.

How can you watch our OL unable to move people back, watch the pile consistently move towards the goal we are defending, and think that we don't have any S&C issues? There's plenty of blame to go around; let them have some of it.

Speak for yourself.

He needs to go back to someone who will instill that "make their arse quit in the 4th quarter" mentality.

I mean this with all respect toward Saban but he has to get people around the program with energy, excitement, and the ability to motivate these players. Saban is getting older and both coordinators are/were about as exciting as fig pudding. Saban needs to get some of the old players around the program to challenge these players; OR the coaches have got to light a fire under their arse.

We had the perfect guy for that for years.

And then most of this board applauded when he left.

I really like Feld at Miami previously with Oregon. Fun dude, with a lot of energy and a guy that can be another face of the program. He is a popular commodity wherever he is and that would seem to help in recruiting as well.

I think our current guy is good from philosophical standpoint. But he’s got the personality of cardboard. No energy, no fire, no juice. We are missing that piece. We need to find it someplace.

I think that modernizing and being on the cutting edge of S&C science was absolutely the move. It sucks that we lost our cheerleader, but he wanted a coaching role anyways so that was really his doing. We do need to find a new cheerleader, but it doesn't need to be our S&C team.

Field only pops up because he is from Bham, not because he is elite.
