The ball appeared to be coming off his foot shanked. I'm not sure if the ball hadn't of been touched if it would have went in anyway. He's had a bad habit of yanking balls left all season.

The kick would not have been good. The OU player tipped it and pushed it a little to the right. Without that "block" Talty would have missed it even worse. If Talty hadn't shanked it, it likely wouldn't have been tipped at all.

All the more reason Talty's melty @ the long snapper was ridiculous. Young man needs to stop blaming his teammates who all want to win as much as him and focus on not letting adverse execution in the snap and hold negatively affect his kicks.

The timing was off because of the snap. He has every right to be mad. As a kicker there is a lot of timing in this process.

Agreed. The snap wasn't so terrible that it should have affected the kick. It was all in Talty's head. However, based on what KDB said yesterday, it sounds like Talty's outburst is water under the bridge.

Please explain how the snap affected the timing...at all:

Talty doesn't have to pause or stutter step. His approach is perfectly fluid because Doud did a phenomenal job of catching the ball and getting it down in time to ensure Talty's approach wasn't disrupted.

Talty is a mental midget so once that ball came out high he halted his own momentum and threw himself off.

His doubted his holder would get the ball down quickly on place it well but that is exactly what happened and in his frustrations at being a terrible kicker with a weak mentality he exploded on a teammate.

That of course doesn't excuse our snapper who has been inconsistent... well more like borderline terrible

This was a very bad look for Talty, and he is paying for it reputationally. Folks are disgusted with his outburst on a teammate.

The spot was good. Talty heal kicked it.

The holder has actually been fairly adept considering the snapper has been a bit of a scattershot.

Talty needs to stop worrying about the rest of his battery and just swing through it like Charlie Brown if the ball doesn’t get to his spot. Bad snaps should not be causing him the problems it has this season. He should be zeroing in on the area where the holder is going to put the ball.

Kickers aren’t even real ball players anyway, so I don’t really have tolerance for ones who are piss poor teammates.

I have my opinion on the matter. Plenty of blame to go around and plenty of opinions to go around.

In the video he absolutely shutters his step. 100%.

That’s true, but also understandable. Not like it matters, the game is over. Hopefully the FG unit can get more consistent.

Nobody thinks the world is ending.

Everyone realizes that this team shite away a win, and now is dangerously close to missing a 12-team playoff for the second year in a row. This is a fan base, right or wrong, that just witnessed Nick Saban miss a FOUR TEAM playoff twice in 10 years.

There is reason for concern when you consider that our offense struggles at times to score points, gets stifled by pressure, and now we are going on the road where we have had issues and where the crowd will be a problem.

We could win against AU and then win the next week but it will take us getting some real issues straightened out.
