Used chatGPT to collect some stats. Amazing tool... Love it. Talk about a weird game from a stat standpoint. We once again came out looking terrible (which is why a few people were booing Grubb, not the players). We tried to be balanced but didn't have great success. Then we went to mostly passing the remainder of the half and found get success. We were fairly balanced in the third and played very efficient scoring twice (running stats aided by 57 yard run by KR). We really didn't pound the round until the 4th quarter.

Some stats I gathered around run vs pass production by quarter, total rushing per player, and which side we were more successful running:

Alabama Offense vs FSU — By Quarter

Q1
9 runs — 13 rushing yards
9 passes — 76 passing yards
89 total yards
50% run / 50% pass
3 points

Q2
6 runs — 14 rushing yards
13 passes — 185 passing yards
199 total yards
32% run / 68% pass
23 points

Q3
6 runs — 96 rushing yards (57 yarder by KR for a TD).
5 passes — 43 passing yards
139 total yards
55% run / 45% pass
14 points

Q4
15 runs — 124 rushing yards
3 passes — 16 passing yards
140 total yards
83% run / 17% pass
10 points

GAME TOTAL
36 runs — 247 rushing yards
30 passes — 320 passing yards
567 total yards
55% run / 45% pass
50 points

T Brown carried the most load rushing:

Alabama Rushing vs FSU

Trae'shawn Brown
12 carries, 86 yards, 1 TD
7.2 yards/carry
Long: 20

Daniel Hill
11 carries, 59 yards
5.4 yards/carry
Long: 13

EJ Crowell
7 carries, 51 yards, 1 TD
7.3 yards/carry
Long: 29

Keelon Russell
3 carries, 56 yards, 1 TD
18.7 yards/carry
Long: 57

Team/Kneel-downs
3 carries, -5 yards

TOTAL
36 carries, 247 yards, 3 TD
6.9 yards/carry

Which side were we most successful??

This got me looking at who's playing on the right side of the o line. CHATGPT actually pointed out that the only constant has been rt Jayvin James. RG has been carroll and sanders. Carroll didn't play against Kentucky.

The offense has ups and downs but when MC and JJ are in the lineup the foundational element is 12 personnel with motion to run right.

Im chekcing out the UK game and we only had 14 rushing yards with 5 minutes to go in the 3rd. So we had 140 rushing yards in the last 1/3 of the game.

I think we have found that if we use more tight ends we can run much more effectively. We do a better job of that when we need to late in games and they know it's coming, but early in the games it's harder it seems.

We ran the same exact running play on 2 goal to go TDs. One with Crowell and one with Brown. We had 2 TEs off the line behind the LT and ran a jet sweep to that side w/ the RB. Both scored.

Brown's 20 yard TD run towards the end of the game came from a run to the left. We had 10 carries for 11 yards before that running left? We clearly had more success running right but I don't recall it being that futile to the left.

Bama made an upgrade on Oline, but the biggest difference is the TEs. These guys are mauling people.

Yep. Edward’s has blocked well. Pritchett blocks well. Ford has improved. Danny Lewis is killing mofos
