think it’s 100% fair to say you don’t know a fricking thing about basketball or what it takes to coach basketball. Just my opinion to question you, right?
Well sure.. but you are just exhibit A if someone in the far end of the spectrum.
I'm sure you will just call me someone who doesn't follow Alabama basketball.
And for the record, I even defended oats saying he has earned the right to be safe from this season.

Guys, it’s best just to ignore the bad fans and keep on cheering hard for the team!

That's just the thing I am glad you defended him but you shouldn't have too. Coach Oats resume already speaks for itself. He took the so called no good guys like Herb Jones, John Petty, and Alex Reese and made them into SEC CHAMPS. Everybody had something negative too say about those three prior to Nate Oats coming but they made HISTORY before they left. They destroyed teams on the ROAD and one of them (Herb Jones) is on the verge of being one of the best defensive players in the league as a ROOKIE!
Josh Primo is the youngest player in the NBA. He was a lottery pick under Nate Oats.
This is not a jab at you because you probably know all of this...

Weren't you yourself complaining about Oats (saying that he’s Avery Johnson) just a few days ago?

Oats is a good coach. He’s definitely not a bad coach. But he has not done a good job with this team through 21 games this season. But the most important part of the season is still ahead.

Exactly the season is far from over.

My opinion of him is that he is a very good coach, a great recruiter, and a shitty motivator.
This team plays exactly to the level of their competition. If we go to the tourney with an 8 seed or better we will struggle. 10th seed and we will win the whole damn thing.
We lost to Georgia, Memphis, and Missouri because their record sucked and the team didn't care. The team was pumped to play Gonzaga and Baylor and we won. We will beat Auburn, but i bet we lose to some other crap team.

I can understand the "shitty motivator" narrative for this season, but it's hard to tell if it's this staff or set of players. If we looked at just last year's team, you'd think he was one of the greatest motivators of all time with how consistently elite we seemed to be from SEC play and on. Is that the truth? Probably not. As with most inconsistencies, the truth probably lands somewhere between the variants.

That's true. I really think motivation is this teams glaring weakness, one way or another.
I also thought it was the football teams biggest issue as well this year.

You realize people can look at your post history right:

Nate Oats and Will Wade are said to be among the four being considered other than Pearl. I can only do those jokes comfortably here. The rest of the Bama board hasn’t figured out that he isn’t any better than Avery Johnson yet, and, “if you see the orange on the rim shoot it!!!!” isn’t an offensive philosophy. I’ll give them a year to catch up and for it to hit them.

I glanced at the bear part and immediately thought it was him.

If he is the motivator you claim then the team wouldn't have been ready to play anybody.

He "FACT CHECKED" you quickly lol...if I was you I would just stop POSTING.
That's just embarrassing

Exactly. I think we have the best coach in the SEC period.
As much as I despise having to say this, Pearl is better than Oats. Maybe not by a lot, but he's better.
When Oats gets Bama to the Final Four, I'll reevaluate.
