Bama vs Texas in Austin.

But didn't Texas just publicly flat out state Herman would be the coach next season? Sounds like a great administration to work for. Watch your back Sark.

I honestly don’t see how anyone in their right mind would want to coach at Texas

This doesn’t make a whole lot of sense from a Texas standpoint. Hiring an OC from a powerhouse program, firing him after he underwhelmed and fielded terrible defenses, then replacing him with an OC from a powerhouse program.

Yes, they did. The same guy that announced his firing today released a statement that Herman was coming back in 2021 on 12 December 2020.

Texas then won their bowl game by 32 and fires Herman the next day. Someone outside the athletic department is obviously calling the shots in Austin.

Herman did have the two years at Houston when Texas hired him. But yes, he made his name as OC at Ohio State.

46-35 as a head coach in the PAC12. You’re giving too much credit. He’s had talent at Bama to work with that he didn’t even recruit.

Edit: I forgot we play Texas during the regular season in 2022. I assumed the thread title meant “see Sark in the playoffs”.

Texas is Auburn with more money and as big brother, not little brother. Same meddling boosters, same dysfunctional administration, same results.

The difference being that all of Auburn's meddling boosters combined would only make up one local chapter of the Texas meddling booster faction. You're talking a dozen idiots with money vs. 400 of them.

Yeah...as much grief as we sometimes give Auburn for the meddling of their boosters, that Texas oil money takes meddling to a whole new level in Austin.

I know they are big to a very rich younger brother in A&M but no matter how much money they have they still little brother to Oklahoma .

I feel for Sark. He is going to need some major horses to beat OU in the next 4 years and not get fired. He also doesn't seem like a guy who would mesh well with UT booster culture but we will see. He is going to need to hire one hell of a staff.
