I really wanted a special SEC/ Big XII challenge to be scheduled

Odds on a Texas vs ATM matchup? Might have been interesting but no one is going to dog us out about our SOS this season.

I just receive a email from the Alabama Tide Pride/ticket office that said..

"While we do not have specific information to share regarding overall stadium capacity at this time, we do know it will be significantly reduced. You as a TIDE PRIDE member/season ticketholder will receive more information on specific ticket options via email by Thursday, August 6."

I’m beginning to believe the postponement is not due to kicking the can down the road, I think it’s more of a wait and see thing. There’s a growing body of evidence out there that lead some experts to believe that COVID is burning itself out. That is the reason for places that have already been ravaged seeing their case count plummet. Places like New York and Spain and Italy have relatively few cases now. Much of the sun belt is nearing that point where cases should begin tapering dramatically if true. The theory is the virus hits an area and just explodes through the most vulnerable segment of the population and the folks that are left are much more difficult to infect, thus dramatically slowing the spread. There will still be outbreaks and hot spots, but on a much smaller scale. Maybe they are trying to buy enough time to see if we get over the peak and the case numbers crash.

SEC title game slated for Dec 19th. No divisions, just top 2 teams to duke it out.

Correction: I initially heard divisions were gone but that isn’t the case. There will still be an East and West according to EsPN. 10 games over 12 weeks. A bye in the middle for everyone and one the week before the SECCG on DEC 19.

Alabama – Florida, Vanderbilt

Auburn – South Carolina, Missouri

Arkansas – Georgia, South Carolina

LSU – Kentucky, Tennessee

Ole Miss: Tennessee, Kentucky

Mississippi State: Vanderbilt, Georgia

Texas A&M: Missouri, Florida

Florida: Alabama, Texas A&M

Georgia: Arkansas, Mississippi State

Kentucky: LSU, Ole Miss

Missouri: Texas A&M, Auburn

South Carolina: Auburn, Arkansas

Tennessee: Ole Miss, LSU

Vanderbilt: Mississippi, Alabama

It is unclear at this time where each game will be
scheduled to be played, but that’s the lineup according to Finebaum.

Georgia gets Arkansas and Miss St. and Florida pick up Alabama and Texas A&M.

I would demand a recount.

Royally. But it's Finebaum and he crawfishes a lot back. How did LSU not have to play either projected top 2 east teams?

Hope the dude is wrong, again.

LSU's permanent east team is UF, so they're already playing them.

Isn't that just added the teams about to come on the schedule? Bama plays Florida next year and Vandy in 2022.

I think more will go into the thought process of added teams to the schedule then "lets just added the next two cross divisional opponents to the schedule."

The big 3 from each division should have to play 2 of the big 3 from the other division.

Bama- Georgia/Tenn
LSU- Florida/Tenn
Auburn- Georgia/Florida

Then just add two more of the East teams.
