TP donation requirement has tripled just since 2022. This is beginning to get painful. NILflation going to kill the average fan.
But as long as our starting guard can retire at 22, I guess it's a small sacrifice.

It’s out of control. If my employer didn’t cover these costs, no chance I’d have season tickets. I’d be a 1 game a year kind of guy or just be happy watching on tv. It doesn’t seem sustainable but maybe folks are a lot wealthier than I give them credit for.

Did yours have the ticket price included? Mine only shows TP and seat back cost.

I've had season tickets since 2010. It's gotten past old. My son starts UA in the fall. After he graduates, I may give them up if it's this same BS NIL system. Hate to say that because I enjoy going and it's a great experience you don't get just watching on tv. (but that's also alot cheaper and more convenient obviously).
Sure, I can pay it, but no one likes being taken advantage of continuously...and that's what it feels like.
- ticket price total showed in the cart...it wasn't broken down by game from what I saw.

I am not helping the cause. I grew up going to games. 3 or 4 a year. Regardless of the cost, I find it to just be a big hassle now and prefer my living room.
Sorry

Wild that people on this sub will look at someone barely making ends meet and say, "You should totally donate monthly to a multimillionaire 18 year old already getting free tuition, room and board, healthcare, meals, gym access and every other perk imaginable."

My Tide Pride hasn’t tripled, but it has gone up, as has the cost of tix, the addition of “sales tax” and now a $50 processing fee.
I found this interesting in the renewal notice email:

NEW! Additional Season Tickets
You may request to add up to four new season tickets in the upper- or lower-level seating areas (i.e., Scholarship Club and Tiers 1-9) for the 2026 Alabama Football season. If you are interested in acquiring additional season tickets, please indicate the quantity (1-4) on your renewal application. Seat additions will take place in conjunction with the online seat change process in May. Only accounts that have renewed in full or enrolled in the bill plan by April 1 will be eligible to purchase additional season tickets. NOTE: It is a violation of the Alabama Athletics ticket terms and conditions to purchase season tickets with the primary intent to resell for profit. Violators are subject to having their season ticket privileges revoked.

It’s just not the same anymore. It feels so much like an NFL game now and I stopped watching them closely years ago. Sure, I’ll watch a game every now and then but it’s a long way from “must see TV” now. College sports is sliding quickly down that slippery slope. I heard on ESPN radio this afternoon where an agent for a basketball player at Kansas who is a top 3 draft pick was having conversations with an assistant AD at the game. The asst AD walked down to the trainer and whispered in his ear. Said player was taken out of the game for “cramps.” He appeared to have absolutely nothing wrong with him before the conversation, but Kansas was up by 20 and the agent was “managing the kid’s minutes.” This is what we have allowed to be created by everyone involved except us fans. We’re getting fed some artificial semblance of our favorite teams and everyone is getting rich at the expense of the game and fans.
I don’t get why nobody with any influence isn’t screaming from the rooftops that this isn’t sustainable over the long haul and the college sports system is cannibalizing itself and will eventually collapse. I hate watching this happen and I hate that my favorite pastime is being stolen from me and destroyed.

I can remember from the late 70s through the late 90s, pulling up to the quad and just parking on the side of the road. No ropes off sections. No bussing. No bullshite. Just go see a game

I don’t think anyone said that. I would never recommend anyone barely making ends meet to spend on NiL at all or anything frivolous, including cable to watch the game.
The only thing I ever mentioned about it is if you watch 15 football games a year, that’s a minimum of 60 hours of your life. Add in the time you post on the board, travel to a game, talk about the team, whatever else and that time equity is a lot more than $5 a month if you have it.
I’m pretty sure no one on this board is making any of the players millionaires. My contributions are the equivalent of buying a few beers or a decent lunch for a player on my favorite team. I can’t be the reason we get some 5 star player, but I can kick in a little to try to help us not get lapped by Big 10 Billionaires

I have tickets in the club level, the annual donation for four tickets is probably out of a lot of fan's price range but my wife loves them.
Deli style food, soft drinks, limited people, no lines, ice cream, snacks, peanuts, limited people, no bathroom lines, open bar with liquor or beer. Did I say limited people and no waiting.
All of it is not worth the donation but I get great seats with a lot of perks and the family will go with me.

That’s awesome. And at the end of the day, all of us have our hobbies we probably splurge on. Some have several.
