We still have a chance even though ESPN says we don't...

* If Illinois can beat Michigan (them OSU beat Michigan)

* If USC loses to UCLA or Notre Dame

* If Clemson gets a second loss (Miami, South Carolina, North Carolina) while North Carolina gets a second loss (Clemson, North Carolina State)

We would be right there. LSU would lose to Georgia in the SECCG and it would leave Georgia, OSU and rocky top as the top 3.

The fourth spot would be between a bunch of two loss teams and we would have the best resume losing two away games by a total of four points.

It is crazy but not impossible. It would also create the largest melt in Rant history... so Lord please let this happen.

TCU would need to lose twice and the Big 12 Champ, Pac-12 Champ would need to have 3 losses. ACC Champ would need at least 2 losses.

You need another LSU loss. They’d have head to head and be the same record 10-2 entering the championship game. Then you have the conundrum of punishing LSU for having a third loss in an extra game.

UW/USC or Clemson/UNC having a conference title throws some issues into this as well

Sorry I didn't explain that well at all.

I think with USC losing twice, TCU losing to Baylor then in the B12 championship, Clemson losing to NC (who gets second loss a week earlier to NCST) and Michigan losing to Illi and OSU..

We are the most attractive two-loss team.

LSU automatically get out from a third loss.

I hate to be the downer but... This is a race car that dropped a cylinder. No fixing it in season.

If Kiffin kicks FG instead of going for it...Bama is looking at OT against OM ...and frankly I like Kiffin in that situation vs BoB

How were they even close to losing to ATM and UTx ???

I'm a solution based optimistic type of person, I'm always thinking and looking for the silver lining lol.

Hey maybe after Auburn game BOB thinks season is over and leaves and then we get in with some big upsets conference championship weekend. We then go into winter practice with a new OC who has a couple weeks to sort out this mess of an offense and we shock the world.

From my post to God's eyes/ears

So after seeing tonight’s rankings. It actually doesn’t seem impossible for us to go to the playoff.

If Illinois can beat Michigan and Baylor can beat TCU...

I think everything else lines up and it would be hard to deny a team which has two losses by a total of four points with one being in overtime.

Our issue is now we need to fast and pray that someone hires BOB away right after Auburn so we at least have a chance with a new gameplanner and playcaller.

No hope Golding gets hired away

Going to the CFP would be great…if I felt like this team could win it all. We don’t want Bama’s welcome ruined if they get completely dominated in the CFP. I feel like this team needs to focus on finishing strong and carrying momentum into next year.
