I would like to see what Bo/Damien and the crew can do, but sounds like we will be looking for the right person if they are out there.

Some names that Suttles mention as worth monitoring are Stanford’s Barry Sanders Jr. and Michigan’s Derrick Green. Both were recruited by Alabama at some point in the past and both would be eligible to play in the fall.

Saban wants 3 guys to carry the ball, and he wants an upperclassman to be one. Works for me.

I remember Barry Sanders attending a Bama Basketball game with Kirby one time. Would be nice to have him here.

I think Kiffin would like this. Sanders would be a good all-purpose back.

We recruited Sanders for a while didn't we? Wasn't it at his high school when Saban got pictured "bumping" him?

It would make sense.

Yeah there was a bump at his school and also a secondary violation where we showed him on tv or the Jumbotron or something with saban at a basketball game too.

He isn't as good as Drake but could somewhat fill that role.

You know it seems every decent recruit is a 4 star, which he was. He never lived up to the hype not even close.

I don't think Saban has faith in DH.

i did not see anything from his limited game reps that tells me he is an every down back. But the spring will tell.

On DH, his HS film is incredible, he received garbage time runs with backup OL and a D who knew we were running, he ran at times where he was told "fumble and run stairs for 2 hours," and Ingram looked like garbage his freshman year too.

What? Ingram was awesome his freshman year. That 1-2 punch with he and Coffee was amazing. He had some bad games, like vs Tennessee and LSU, but Ingram was exciting from the get go.

Why would you question anyone transferring to Alabama?

IIRC it wasn't a violation because they were shown on a tv camera (outside the control of UA). It would've been a violation if they had been shown on the big screen in Coleman since that feed is controlled by UA

Not questioning why Alabama but more so why leave their schools that they have invested in. The only kids leaving alabama are ones who are so low on the depth chart they cant see the sky. So these guys are not superstars at their respective schools so what makes them special that they will see much if any PT here. Mullanney was a nice pick up but his PT started when we had a WR go down.

I know it's probably all a rouse, but, isn't it a rule that grad-transfers have to go to a school that offers a degree in something their current school doesn't offer?

I think that was the old "Masoli Rule" and it was done away with when they said anyone who graduates can transfer wherever they want. You just have to obviously get a masters in something, but that requirement is gone I think.
