Not sure about the Michigan depth chart, but Sanders is going to lose even more touches to a better version of himself in McCaffrey.

I think both are looking to be feature backs somewhere that allows them to get as much game tape as possible for a shot at the NFL.

If they are seriously seeking a transfer then they obviously don't feel good about Emmons qualifying.

I think they want to have another back with experience, plus I'm sure they are concerned about Emmons.

I mean, even if Emmons qualifies.

Scarbrough
Harris
Emmons
Jacobs
Xavian Marks (walk-on)
Derrick Gore (walk-on)

So, with Emmons, we have 4 scholarship running backs. Without Emmons we have 3. That is awfully tight either way.

I think the staff wants a more experienced back while we break the young guys in. We return a total of 76 carries between BoScar, Harris, Marks, Gore, and Clark. Green from Michigan has 212, Sanders has 115.

You are right but if Emmons makes it we still have Clark too. That leaves us with two 5 stars and what 2 or 3 four star guys? Are one of these rumored transfer guys gonna come in to be third string or worse? And if another programs leftovers could come in and be first or second string then that tells me that our returning guys aren't what we thought they were coming in.

I'm not sure the staff is sold on Clark staying at RB, but I could be wrong

My guess is they'd come in like Coker did we a specific plan for their role but with the knowledge that if they show up and are the 4th best back they'll be the #4 back.

I really wish we would have never moved Clark to offense. I think he could have been a great safety or linebacker on defense. Any updates on where he played throughout the year and his future?

Saban keeps Alabama in the championship hunt every year in large part because he has many contingency plans. Sure Bo might be able to carry the ball 20 time a game. Sure it might click for Harris. Sure Emmons might qualify. Of course all three of those could go the other way too. There are a ton of ifs right now at the RB position. It makes perfect sense to get another option that has played significant college ball already.

Ingram looked like garbage his freshman year too

Ingram ran for over 700 yards and 12 touchdowns as a freshman while averaging over 5 ypc

Yeah, Ingram was great as a true freshman. He ran behind a really good line but he was like a bowling ball between the tackles. Mark was easily better than what we have returning this year.

I could have sworn Sanders is going to Oklahoma State and announced it around the National Championship.

Nvm didn't read the whole thread.

Still I like the idea of bringing in an experienced tailback.

Emmons has apparently put in work and qualified. This will pay huge dividends this year. Kid is a beast.

What happened to DeSherrius Flowers? Dude went from being an early enrollee in 2015, to not eligible, to nothing at all. Haven't heard shite about him since June of last year. Was he abducted by aliens?
