You are human as the rest of us and I'm sure you've made some stupid mistakes but most of those who doubted the story aren't worth worrying about.

my condolences to you and your family.

so how are your children doing?

I am still a little heart broken in this department. One lives in Alabama with her boyfriend while one is in Florida with my mom. I got sober but lost everything I had while in treatment. I started from scratch here in Louisiana so I don't have them here yet. They forgive me and want to move here with me so that's a blessing. I am letting them finish the school year where they are and that gives me another few months to get my own place etc.

I appreciate you asking about them as they are the biggest victims in all of this. Lost their mom and temporarily lost their dad too.

Don't think of the negative, I know its hard - but a whole lot of kids don't get a chance to have their dad back from addictions. Stay strong for them and don't put too much pressure or stress on yourself. That road can lead to relapse and your system is probably still evening itself out from the chemical imbalance.
