According to Twitter, @RealCoachLou won’t be in the office tomorrow. Come thru Lou. My honey-do list is popping!

The way our players looked, he wasn't ever in the office.

Why don’t we like Ponytail? Haircut? Shoulder bump? All of the above?

Also why no talk of Musselman anymore? Is he UCLA bound? Thanks!

He sucked at his job.

As far as Musselman, I think we are just wary of him.

I've been preaching Forbes since day one. I'm realistic but also know value matters more than a "big name." Plenty of examples where the big name failed. Look at Mike Anderson, Mizzou vs. Arkansas.

I feel like I remember this guy being full of shite during the football assistant coach search.

Byrne's quote about, "not worrying about winning the press conference" gives me a lot of positive vibes about Forbes being near the top, if Byrne knows his shite (and I believe he does).

This is one of the few ways a player can have any direct impact on the next coach hired.

If that is what he is trying to do then he needs to be gone.

No AD with common sense and a set of balls will be that shortsighted.

It’s fun to speculate, but I don’t think there’s cause to panic about who’s in or out of the coaching search. Byrne himself said you won’t hear anything until the deal is done, and gave a little insight into how coaching searches go. You’ll see stuff put in the media about certain coaches talking with certain schools, or being out of consideration, all of it is just posturing by agents and coaches themselves.

Long Dong Byrne has got this under control.

I am OK being in the cellar one year if it cleans the program up.

I would rather not but sometimes when you clean your house that has been neglected it looks worse before you see progress.

A la losing to ULM in Saban’s first year. Still sucks to see guys transfer out, but it has been mentioned they are exploring their options. They aren’t committed to leaving though. Wait and see approach.

Well, some of that was the whole tie in with the school as a previous assistant. Mike was looked at as a great coach while at Mizzou but that hire never takes place if he wasn't an assistant for Nolan.

If we lose because of talent and depth, and not because of effort and fundamentals, I am okay.

IMO, mainly the coaches he has worked under

#Alabama HC Nick Saban on Avery Johnson and the search for a new MBB coach: “We certainly wish (Johnson) and his family the very best. I also have confidence in our leadership here that they’re going to make good choices and decisions about who they choose to lead every program.”

As well as the marked improvement he brought to both NWF and ETSU from their previous years.

No, you asked what stood out. All the coaches you are looking at will have impressive records. Forbes has that, I'm giving you what is unique about him.

That as well but I think you will see that with most potential hires, just wanted to give something that stood out as different than the others.
