That's like the one guy we would want to keep the most. Hopefully this doesn't happen

Forbes loves Juco transfers. Its how he got ETSU turned around so quickly.

Why not Tommy Lloyd, who is the assistant coach at Gonzaga?

LINK

quote:

ommy Lloyd is in his 18th season as an assistant coach, joining head coach Mark Few's staff prior to the 2001-02 season after serving as an administrative assistant the previous season. His overseas knowledge has grown Gonzaga University's recruiting to one of international status. Lloyd's knowledge of the European game has been instrumental in placing Gonzaga players overseas to continue their basketball careers, as well as nurturing his contacts in recruiting circles as Gonzaga's recruiting base has extended worldwide. "Tommy has been one of the main reasons our player base has expanded outside of the United States," Few said. "He has an uncanny knowledge of the international talent and the international game. He is connected overseas with coaches at all levels which has greatly enhanced our recruiting abroad."

Dazon I didn't mind but Lewis will hurt if he leaves. Let's hope they get someone hired and he changes his mind

Here is what I dont understand...If he wants to go pro ASAP why wouldnt he just stay next year..instead of transferring and not being able to play until 2 years??

If I had to bet, Kira will be back, assuming we don't hire a coach he just hates. It might not hurt for some people to go apologize to him on Twitter though.

This is setting up for us to have a head coach named Bucky. At least he'll be able to recruit the state

This is one of the few ways a player can have any direct impact on the next coach hired. The last thing a player like Kira would want is to have us hire a coach that would not use his skill set/ slow down the pace of the offense. I doubt he actually leaves, but it's really smart of him to do this now while the search is happening.

Nah, we are going to hire Steve Forbes, let the entire current roster walk, and then give Forbes plenty of money to travel the country and cherry-pick 13 of the best juco's & grad transfers available. We got this.

Nor should it. But that doesn't mean Kira shouldn't make it clear that who is hired impacts whether or not he plays in Crimson for one more year before he goes to the NBA.

The only thing Kira is doing is covering his bases in case he doesn't like the hire. The fact that he is in the transfer portal won't sway Byrne one way or the other. It's a smart move by Kira, but I doubt he is doing it to try and make a statement
