We aren't getting Donovan imo, but it's even less likely that Grant would be his assistant.

I'm not seeing your point.

I have to think there's about a 1% chance there's anything to that tweet, but I'd take Donovan in a heartbeat.

You made my point The chances of Donovan are slim to none and Anthony Grant being fired by Alabama doesn't seem to help our case....I don't care if we're backing a Brinks truck up to his house.

Well, I disagree that Anthony Grant would have anything to do with it. I just think he'd be an extreme longshot in general.

Grant suked azz at Alabama. Don't want him anywhere near the program.

We were at least pretty good defensively. He can be a good assistant.

From my Alabama sports email:

Several “prominent” Bama alumni saying as of last night a move now to go after Billy Donovan. Cost no object even if he would be in top 10-15?of highest paid NCAA basketball

That would mean about what we paid Avery. If we matched his current salary he’d be the 4th highest paid coach.

He's not going to be. Ever. That was silly conjecture on an internet message board.

His record isn't far off what Prohm's is at ISU, except that Grant was much more successful in-conference than Prohm.

That's why I don't want Prohm.

He doesn't want to, I'm sure, but he's dropped from 3rd to 6th in the west in the past week. He's only 1 game above being the #8 seed in the playoffs and a third straight first round elimination.

There is actually a middling chance he will be looking for a job in a few weeks.
