Ty is probably begging to stay the guy, but he needs to put the team first if hes that hurt.

I’m sure if he’s that bad hurt they didn’t want the selection committee knowing about it before the field of 12 was picked. Remember what they did to FSU a few years ago! Just a thought to ponder if this is true.

Yes. I made a similar comment in a different thread.
Seems like it would have been bad optics to switch him during the sec championship game.
Could have given the "committee" more things to consider.

My nephew joked: “you think he looks miserable because he lost his reps after Saturday?” I don’t think he is like missing time hurt, but I do think that there is a little more to it than being “nicked up”. Also, I’m not a doctor, and maybe he slept wrong on his neck and back last night. At 35 I know that feeling all too well.

Also, I’m sure that pancake tackle that big d lineman put on him didn’t help matters with his back!

Don’t know anything about neck pain but, having had back surgery, I can tell you you just can’t get comfortable in any position. When you sit your left butt cheek feels like someone is drilling a hole in it and you hope and pray you don’t cough, sneeze or fart.
It’s miserable

If you watch him running the ball vs Eastern Illinois, the guy was running like a 90 year old man out there. Seemed pretty apparent to me that the guy was in agony.
There’s no shame in him sitting it out if he’s badly hurt. I know he’s a competitor but no one player is more important than the team.

PS - O-line, I want you irate if your QB gets disrespected.
Yeah an Alabama olineman or 2 should have gotten personal fouls going after the cheap shot guy from Georgia that hit Simpson well after the whistle and well after the other 21 players had stopped.

Good lord, if he's THAT bad off, what does it say about our backups?
Posted on 12/9/25 at 10:36 pm to footstepsfalco
Okay if he's hurt, then he needs to be on a short leash. If he keeps playing abysmally, we need to go with either Mack or Keelon.
I seriously doubt we can do much in the playoffs if our QB has serious back pain. Are our coaches retarded?

Maybe they just don’t want teams to know he’s hurt. Do you actually think they’d announce he’s out for the playoffs even if he is out? That just wouldn’t make sense!

Did he audible while you were talking?
