I was gonna take the wife and kids since I had to cancel our trip to Atlanta last week but after reading this thread I sold my tickets to the same couple I sold the Duke tickets to. Totally not worth it when I can go down to my aircondioned basement and flirt with a heat stroke to watch a 50 point beat down. I guess I owe you guys one.

I mean I'll be honest, I'll do the 2 TV setup outside, but my eyes are going to be over on Clemson/A&M as much as they are going to be on our game.

I'll have two tvs setup outside and I'll be on a float in the pool.

I saw tickets as cheap as $4 on Vividseats. I prefer to watch from home in that heat.

I've heard the humidity wont be as terrible as we are accustomed to here in late summer.
So, maybe, just maybe, it won't end up being as awful of temperature condition as we are fearing.

Disclaimer: I'm saying this knowing full well that I will not be at the game, rather sitting on my sofa in the AC.

It won't. It probably won't be too bad in the shade if you're lucky enough to have a seat on that side of the stadium. West Upper Deck towards the north end will be the place to be.

It will be unbearable in the sunlight though. I'm getting anxiety just thinking about it.

Fun fact. 12% of the existence of the SEC network has been dedicated to Paul Finebaum
I can't stomach that shite, I never even glimpse anymore.

The night game on the SEC Network Saturday is Arkansas @ Ole Miss, not an LSU game.

Because LSU is playing away....

Agreed. The fan aspect of it is valid on its own. I'm more surprised concerns over the accumulation of heat over the practice week and increased risk of hot weather related injuries on game day hasn't forced programs to demand a better balance in early Fall/late summer games to mitigate the heat for player safety and durability over the course of the early half of the season

Is that the Houston game where a Freshman Case Keenum came off the bench and almost beat us

Hahaha no that was 2007

The 2007 Houston game was ppv. ULM and WCU were also ppv that year.

Without the sec network showing every gan e by speeding out the schedule we would be back to having 2-3 ppv games a year. More for others in the sec.

Yea, we had 2-3 games a year that were PPV per-SECN. The SECN has been gold for games, everything else has been pretty bad.

All the more reason we should be playing at night.

Perhaps the best thing that could happen for us long term is for there to be about 30,000 empty seats tomorrow.

Beginning to think this is going to happen. And possibly next week as well. Tickets for next week are as low as $6 on StubHub right now.

I don't know a single person with season tickets that is going tomorrow, and none of them I've asked have been able to even give their tickets away. Stadium will be pretty empty in the 4th quarter.

All it takes is Saban telling him we aren't playing during the day and it will get done.

Also, I'd bet these games would get a whole lot better attendance at night.

I agree with the idea of the games absolutely, but heat during the practice week can be mitigated by moving indoors for portions or non-pad, however they want to do it. So you would hope there wouldn't be lingering impact from that aspect.

Well, there used to be this thing called radio that had the intriguing voice of Eli Gold keep you up to date on every play.

The first Saturday after Labor Day was the opening weekend of dove season in North Alabama when I was a kid... I assume it is still around that time.

An early PM kickoff vs a crap to mediocre opponent just meant a lot of car/truck/portable radios were tuned in to the game while watching the sulphur butterflies float around a recently harvested corn, wheat, millet, sunflower, or cotton field. The men would enjoy a frosty beverage and some older gentleman always had a good chicken stew or something of the sort cooked up to share.

Good times. Football in that heat is sometimes better enjoyed in venues other than BDS.

There's a heat advisory for tomorrow starting at 9 am central. So that's great

I sold my 4 in U4-EE for $50 this week and felt damn lucky to get it. They aren't worth the paper they're printed on.
