Could someone tell us what the last 2 posts said? I see one of them on there now, maybe that was it.

Also, I don't know where the FB pages are or who?

Lot of rambling, but he was basically thanking people for helping him. Saying he was in the hospital last night dehydrated (drank too much I guess) and that he didnt remember if he sat up a go fund me or not, and if he did could someone link it.

The next post was saying he did now realize he had set it up (saw his post from the day before). But that the admins had removed the link and he didnt know what that meant.

People linked him the GFM, but he never responded to either thread he started.

Here is his wifes FB

I think most believe his wife did die but are getting a little suspicious on how the money will be used. Given his history and where things stand with him right now, it can be tempting. Also if he truly doesn’t remember, hopefully someone isn’t taking advantage of him.

$22K is a lot of money for a third party to own the GFM account.

Hopefully, everything works out for the best in all cases.

A person claiming to be his aunt posted on the OT saying they’re trying to reach out to family members to help him

Looked at his sister in laws Facebook page closer and she shared the go fund me that he started. So she knows about it.

Looks like they sent her to UAB for an autopsy.

So no need to reach out.

Ehh.

The toxic posts are getting downvoted. The long rant calling them out has gotten tons of upvotes. The OT is filled with plenty of degenerates but most people are still ok.

Not trying to judge or be an arse, but from following this saga it appears that OP has a Xanax problem. That shite will mess you up if you take too much of it by itself. Wash it down with booze and the results are...not great. He clearly needs help and I hope he gets it. Life is just a motherfricker sometimes and comes at us a lot faster than we're ready for.

Edit: I'm pretty sure he took a couple of xanax, a couple of the pain pills meant for her that he said he filled yesterday, drank some alcohol, and accidentally (or purposely) put himself into lala land for the last 24 hours. I know I would want to do the same if my wife died.

I have never had to deal with this so I'm not sure how I would or could handle it, but I think a lot of people would take a mental break from it too, however possible. May God bless him. Just know though, CD, that you could overdose and those children would be without a Mom or a Dad. It would be great if you'd talk to a therapist, priest, or a good friend but please lay off the booze and drugs right now if you can.

That truly breaks my heart to here. It may appear right now that the world is at its worst, but God never gives us more than we can handle. It may not feel that way but asking for help is a sign of strength and courage. Thoughts and prayers my bama brother.

Apparently CD’s sister-in-law has control of his account on here now and is making everything worse.

She made things worse on this site. I understand what she was trying to do, but she did it in a way that passed folks off. I do believe that if you donated, then it’s pretty shitty to grab your money back, but he still has more than he asked for.

I’m honestly at the point that I don’t blame anyone who requests a refund from GoFundMe. I say that as someone who was a proponent of helping him when all of this first started. I believe that his wife did die and that they need help paying for a funeral, but I think it is justifiable to question whether the money will go toward its intended purpose or what the money not needed for the funeral be used for.

Yea, it's not a good look. $21K is a pretty ridiculous amount. It's great how generous everyone on this site is (I mean, it truly is great), but any one of us could use money if a $10K expense showed up - led alone an extra $10K.

Still, hopefully CD gets it and makes good decisions with it. But it's way too much money, to be frank.

Gotta be very sure when donating your hard working funds. Who the heck knows where the money actually goes, is it being used for the right reason.
Many of those you see holding poor me signs, needing help at a Walmart entrance, do this as their actual source of income, traveling from city to city, many days of the week. Having a cute dog along their side to pull the heart strings is one of their strategies.

Agree, but this is a little different than the guy on the corner. CD has been posting here for years.

I feel like someone in his family, probably his SIL posting under his account, is taking advantage of the situation. She started a separate GFM for the autopsy even though this one had more then enough money. That autopsy one got whacked so she comes crying here. She looks to have a drug problem too so I don’t blame people from getting refunded it. She also refuses to answer any questions besides repeating the same FB stuff.

Sucks because CD lost his wife. There are people, including kids, hurting right now. But someone has the nerve to bash people who raised $22K in a single day for a stranger. This site has helped people who were actually in need like Honkus, Owlie, and our own Hemp but because of this no one else can get anymore help.
